Blue Moose Metals Unique artisan bottle openers. Made by artist Kirk Holfeld in Missoula, MT. All openers are coated in lacquer to prevent rust.

About the Process: Each bottle opener starts as an idea and a sketch drawn by local Missoula artist Kirk Holfeld. Kirk then translates his sketch into a file so that it can be cut from 10 gauge 100% steel by a laser machine. Each bottle opener is smoothed using a wire wheel brush and then designs are hand cut with an angle grinder. Bottle openers are left their natural steel color, or colored bron

About Us: Blue Moose Metals was founded in Missoula, MT when Kirk Holfeld began designing gaming bottle openers for himself and friends His love for Montana and the outdoors soon translated over to his openers and he designed and created the elk, moose, Grizzly Paw, Trout, and Montana State opener. Kirk studied art and business at the University of Montana which allowed him to transfer his artistic talents and love for creating with his hands in to a business. Kirk lives in Missoula, MT with his wife (who helps with the business side of things) and their 2 dogs. He enjoys disc golf, rafting, and snowboarding in his spare time.
