We are so excited to announce a new partnership through our Bridge Roots Relief Program!
In addition to our partnerships with Missoula Early Head Start and the Montana Veterans Association, we are honored to now partner with Child Start, Inc. Head Start to help make sure families have access to the things they need when times get hard.
Through this partnership, if your child is enrolled with Child Start Inc. Head Start and your family finds itself navigating a difficult season, you can reach out directly to your Family Services Manager to get set up with a voucher to shop at The Bridge, completely free of charge.
Missoula Child Start Inc. serves approximately 130 families with children ages 3-5, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to come alongside these families and help fill in some of the gaps whenever we are needed.
We believe that help shouldn't be complicated. Sometimes a family doesn't need a handout, they simply need a bridge to get them through a difficult season.
And that's exactly what we hope the Bridge Roots Relief Program continues to be.
This program is also available completely free of charge to businesses and organizations that serve individuals and families who may need additional assistance in any capacity. Our goal is to build relationships with the people already working within our community so that, together, we can create a stronger network of support.
If you own a business, work for an organization, or are part of a program that you believe could benefit from the Bridge Roots Relief Program, we would love to hear from you.
It is our goal to make the connections that strengthen our community, close the gaps, and help keep our neighbors from getting lost in the spaces between the resources available to them.
Sometimes all it takes is one connection to build a bridge.

At The Bridge, we’re intentional about keeping the foundation of thrifting alive. 🤎
The 90s prices. The affordable finds. The wide variety of unique treasures. The community feel. And, of course, the little gems tucked away in places you’d never expect to find them. That’s what we love about thrifting; You never quite know what you’ll discover.
We take pride in keeping things affordable for our neighbors. Nothing in our store is over $20, and no clothing item is over $4. We believe thrift shopping should be accessible, practical, and still feel like a treasure hunt.
And don’t forget about our 50% OFF September Sale! ALL appliances, books AND pants!
You can also receive an extra 10% OFF your purchase when you write an encouraging note for a stranger to pin to our community bulletin board in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. A few kind words might be exactly what someone needs to hear that day.
Last but not least, TODAY IS THURSDAY! Thrifty Thursday makes the entire store 20% off so its a no-brainer to come digging for treasures today 😍

Our pantry shelves are getting a little bare, and we need our village.
With a continuous influx of neighbors walking through our doors each week, we would be incredibly grateful for any extra items our community may be able to share.
Our goal has never been to measure how many people we can help; It’s to help whoever walks through our doors, whenever they need us. And the more our community comes together, the more neighbors we can reach.

Maybe you have an extra package of toilet paper.
Maybe you have trash bags taking up space in the closet.
Maybe there’s a can of food sitting in the pantry that you bought because it looked so good in the store, only to question that decision every time you see it. 😆
Maybe you have an extra bottle of shampoo, laundry detergent, hygiene products, or a few pantry staples you simply don’t need.
What feels like an extra item to you could be exactly what someone else needs to make it through the week or even through the night.

We also encourage you to come shop our sales, because every purchase made in our shop helps us continue creating opportunities to pour back into our community. If shopping isn’t your thing, you can always donate directly.

Bring an extra item. Shop a sale. Make a donation. Share this post. Tell a neighbor.
Every small action becomes a stepping stone toward making sure our neighbors feel supported rather than alone.
We are firm believers that every person who walks through our doors is for a reason and we are incredibly grateful to be the bridge that connects neighbors to one another because when we choose to show up for each other, we become the village we all need.
Thank you for helping us continue to be a stepping stone in answered prayers, unexpected blessings, and much-needed assistance. 🤎

Our 2nd Annual Winter Coat Drive is officially underway!!

The time has come to start accepting winter coat donations as we work together to make sure no neighbor goes cold this winter.

If you find yourself with coats or winter wear from previous seasons that your family no longer needs, we would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give them a second life by putting them into the hands of a neighbor who needs them.

To help us reach more people, we're also accepting LIKE-NEW coats this year. We had so many wonderful folks wanting to donate gently used winterwear last year, and we recognize that expanding our donations this way allows us to serve even more members of our community.

To donate:
Bring your brand-new or like-new coats and other winterwear to The Bridge - Hope in the Roots, 2412 River Rd., Suite B during our regular business hours.
Every coat donated is one more neighbor who can face the Montana winter a little warmer.

To request a coat:
If you or a family member are in need of a winter coat, please take a moment to fill out the request form below.

https://forms.gle/SPXVeGq3fX4NbpsL8

While we cannot guarantee that every request can be fulfilled, we can promise that we will do everything within our ability to approve every request we can. Our hope is to help as many of our neighbors as possible.
Last year, because of the incredible generosity of our community, we were able to provide 74 BRAND-NEW coats to local neighbors. 🫂
This year, our goal is to DOUBLE that number.

WANT TO HELP?

We are also looking for a few dedicated volunteers to help intermittently throughout the planning process and during our eventual coat distribution event. (More details coming soon!)

If you'd like to volunteer or, scan the QR code on our digital flyer OR sign up below:

https://forms.gle/FMCLjvQV6rR3SEBM8

A warm coat can mean more than warmth. It can mean comfort, dignity, and one less thing for a family to worry about.
Thank you for continuing to show us what it looks like when neighbors take care of neighbors.🤎

There’s something so beautiful about watching our community wall slowly fill with small pieces of each of you. ❤️
We are just one month away from having our doors open for an entire year, and when we stop to think about the stories, testimonies, struggles, blessings, milestones, accomplishments, and everyday tribulations we’ve had the privilege of being a part of in just one year, it truly feels like a miracle.
We are so incredibly grateful for this community. We hope you know just how much you are a part of what makes this place what it is.
If you haven’t already, take a moment to stop by our community wall and look at the little pieces of life that surround you. Your neighbors. Your community. Real people walking through real things, celebrating real victories, and reminding one another that none of us are doing this alone.
And if you haven’t added your own piece yet, we’d love for you to.
Take a photo. Write something you’re grateful for. Leave an encouraging note for a stranger. Share a little piece of your story.
Little by little, our community wall grows and so do the hearts of our neighbors as we’re reminded that we really are in this together. 🫂
Thank you for being a part of our story. We’re so grateful to be a part of yours.

Let’s be real, times are hard, and for a lot of our neighbors, they aren’t getting any easier.
We see it, we hear you, and we’re right here in these trenches with you.
We are a community. We are a village, and the truth is, we all need that village.
September is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this one sits especially close to our hearts. Mental health does not discriminate. It doesn’t care about your social status, your financial circumstances, your background, or where you come from. It can affect any of us, at any time.
So this month, we want to do something simple together: leave a little more kindness behind in our community.
Starting this month, you can write an anonymous note of encouragement at checkout for someone else to read on our community bulletin board, and we’ll give you 10% OFF your purchase as a little thank-you for spreading some kindness.
It can be as simple as:
“You are doing better than you think.”
“You matter.”
“Keep going.”
Or it can be more. Whatever you need to say. Whatever you feel someone else may need to hear. 🫂
You never know who might walk through our doors that day carrying something heavy and find a few words that remind them they aren’t alone. Come leave a little hope behind at The Bridge because sometimes the smallest act of kindness can make the biggest difference, and we’re committed to filling every gap we can. Including the ones we’ve had to crawl out of ourselves. ❤

You'll notice as you walk in, on our community wall, is a brand new bulletin board! In our continued efforts to keep our community members connected, we wanted a place where folks could look for neighboring resources, events and other updates around the community.
Feel free to add your own flyers to update neighbors of our local happenings 🤩
