🤦‍♀️ Today’s Adventures at the Moldy Oldie ADHD Work bench…

I was in a hurry finishing this shell when I kept thinking something looked just a little off. Did I stop and figure out what it was?

Bless my heart… nope. 😆

I happily glued these sparkly flip-flops down with UV resin, cured them, admired my work…

…and THEN realized the straps were missing. 🤦‍♀️😂. Y’all… they’re just flops. (Pun intended!) There is absolutely no flip happening here.

Those little boogers are now attached tighter than bark on a tree. They ain’t going no dang where ! 🤦‍♀️

💡 Related Tip of the Day:

Before you permanently glue anything down… step away for 30 seconds and take one last look. Your brain will often spot what your eyes missed while you were in “get ’er done” mode.

Unless, of course, you have ADHD… then your brain may still be out chasing squirrels. 🐿️🤣

I celebrate by rescuing their shells from the trash can and giving them a second chance at life. 🤷‍♀️

Let’s talk about my assistant… Chet. Also better know as Chat GPT 🤖😆

Every now and then someone notices that my product photos have prettier backgrounds and says, “That’s AI!”

Well… guilty as charged. 😜

Here’s the thing though… my photography skills rank somewhere between “bless her heart” and “did you wipe the camera lens?” 🤣

The top photo is exactly how I took it. The bottom is after I asked Chet for a little help.

But here’s the important part…

I never ask AI to change my artwork.

In fact, my prompts usually sound something like:

“Do NOT change the shell. Do NOT change the artwork. Do NOT change the embellishments. Just make the background prettier, soften the shadows, and fix my terrible photography.” 😂

What you see on my page is still my shell, my artwork, my colors, and my design. AI is just my photography assistant who cleans up the background and pretends I know what I’m doing behind a camera.

If I could afford a professional photographer to follow me around, I’d hire one.

Until then… I have Chet. 🤷‍♀️🤣

(He’s much cheaper… and he never complains when I make him redo the same picture seventeen times. 😇)

Day 999 of trying to get my kitchen back in order… 🤪

Y’all… it’s hotter than Satan’s sauna, the humidity has me melting, and Hubby is outside “helping” by wandering in every path and doorway I need to use. 😜

So guess what? I STILL haven’t made it out to the Moldy Oldies ADHD Workbench. 😭

At this rate I’m hoping to be back creating shells sometime around… Juvember. Maybe. If the ADHD squirrels cooperate and I can actually find where I packed half my craft supplies. 🐿️📦

On the bright side… the kitchen is finally starting to look like a kitchen again. One cabinet… one drawer… and about 17 snack breaks at a time. 😂

If anybody needs me, I’ll be somewhere between the pantry, the junk drawer, and complete chaos. 🙋‍♀️

Well… this custom order is FINALLY ready to head to its new home! 🙌🐢🐚

As for me… I still haven’t made it back out to the Moldy Oldie ADHD Workbench.

Y’all, it’s so hot outside the lizards are carrying canteens. 🥵

I tried to get out there this morning, but the kitchen contractors were here yesterday and apparently tripped the breaker to the workshop. No electricity means no Dremel, no drill press , no fun.

Could I go flip the breaker? Probably. Will I? Ehhh… today’s ambition level says “maybe tomorrow.” 😂

So instead, I’m tackling the mountain of kitchen “stuff” that’s been living in boxes since the broken pipe fiasco. If anyone needs me, I’ll be somewhere between the coffee mugs, the Tupperware, and wondering why I own 47 spatulas. 🤦‍♀️📦☕
