The latest from DiG Drums. This is the Blanca Series, crafted from Birch staves, a wood known to drummers for its tone and punch.
Blanca Peak is the fourth highest summit of the Rocky Mountains of North America and the State of Colorado. The ultra-prominent 14,351-foot peak is the highest summit of the Sangre de Cristo Range, and is visible from the DiG Drums work shop. Hence, the inspiration for the name of this high-performing series of handcrafted drums.
The Blanca Series feature integrated reinforcement for the 1/4" wall thickness of the mounted toms, and allow for a vintage-style 1/4" outer round-over and interior 45 degree bearing edges. The slightly thicker floor toms and bass drum feature full round-over bearing edges for a warm, classic sound. In fact, one listener remarked that, "[t]hose toms are ridiculously musical sounding."
DiG Drums is now taking orders for the Blanca Series sets, custom made in your choice of sizes, hardware, and finish.
