Today’s trial bakes. Jude, remember a pan under the cinnamon bread. Smoke filled house now.
Fresh honey whole wheat loaves, cinnamon knots and cinn loaf. I need to perfect the cinn loaf. Maybe too much filling. It’s more like pull apart loaf. Cinn loaves/knots 1/2 whole wheat.

Fresh batch of bread at Milliaire Winery tasting room on Main St. I did a couple of parmesan loaves which sell for $7. Others are $6.

Back on the sourdough train. ‘Betty’ (starter), was feeling a little under the weather, but she is back for sure. So much she overprooved these loaves a bit. I gave the super beauties baked yesterday to my bro. No pics, though.
I hope to have more fresh milled wheat bread soon. I broke my brand new mill yesterday. I kicked myself down mentally, but I have moved on and better today. It’s only money, right?
I’m including a pic of my bear claw. Working on sourdough croissant bakes. Made my own almond paste, too. Added a bit of homemade cherry jam from Joyce Reese! Yum. Almonds and cherry. Match made in heaven. How about a couple of quality baking chocolate added to the cherry and almond?
