Are your concrete steps uneven and becoming a tripping hazard? We can fix that! steps with Brick approach. Meyer Landscape & Design crew removed the concrete settled steps that had an 8 inch and a 5 inch riser and made 6 inch equal height risers and a deeper landing tread.

All this rain has been rough on bare or sparsely-planted slopes. If you've got a hillside or sloped yard without much ground cover, you're at higher risk for erosion right now.

This retaining wall we built is a good example of getting ahead of it. The lawn here was originally steeply sloped, which made it tough to maintain and prone to washing out. Breaking it up with a wall gave the yard a flat, usable space up top and stopped the erosion problem for good.

Signs it might be time to look at your own slope:
-Soil washing away from slopes or bare patches
-Mulch or topsoil collecting at the bottom of a hill
-Small gullies or channels forming after heavy rain
-A slope that's just a pain to mow or maintain

If a steep or eroding slope has been giving you trouble, let's talk about options... sometimes a wall like this solves the erosion AND the maintenance headache at once.

Say hello to one of the newest members of our design team, Michele Cotton!

This is Michele’s first season with us, and she brings a great mix of passion and expertise to every project she touches. With a background in permaculture and native plants, she loves working closely with homeowners to create spaces tailored specifically to their personal preferences, styles, and favorite colors. Her absolute favorite plants are anything with an incredible scent, especially Mock Orange and old-world roses!

When she isn’t helping clients transform their outdoor spaces, you can usually find Michele cooking, taking walks with her beagle, or catching live music whenever possible. She loves talking plants with anyone and everyone and can't wait to help you bring your space to life!

A familiar face in a brand new role! Help us officially welcome John Collins to our design team!

John has been with us for 20 years and stepped up into his new role as a designer this summer. He loves meeting clients, blending classic and modern styles, and turning yards into beautiful outdoor spaces.

His favorite plants to design with? Mostly perennials that create a season-long display of color!

When he’s not creating beautiful landscapes for our clients, you'll usually find him at home working around his own yard, tending to his vegetable and flower gardens.
