🎉 You're Invited to a Ribbon Cutting! 🧵✂️

Join us Friday, August 7 at 4:30 PM as we celebrate the Geneseo Quilt Guild's newest seasonal exhibit with an official ribbon cutting!

Located in the Upper Mezzanine of Smith Studio and Gallery, the exhibit features stunning quilts created by members of the Geneseo Quilt Guild. You'll have the chance to meet some of the talented artists, learn the stories behind their work, and explore a collection that showcases incredible craftsmanship and creativity.

One highlight of the exhibit is the "Y2K Millennium Charm Quilt," a remarkable piece made up of 2,000 fabric squares collected from across the United States and around the world—including Guam, France, Russia, and Saudi Arabia—and more than 22 years in the making.

The exhibit is free and open to the public, with new displays rotating seasonally, making it a destination worth visiting again and again.

Last week Mike and Val were in Nashville for the Global Sewing Summit, an event bringing Singer, Viking and Pfaff together. Pound & Inch received 1 of 4 North America awards. SVP recognized the store for our unique concept and supporting Quad City Veterans Outreach Center. It was quite a surprise. Pound & Inch will continue to support Veterans and encourage quilting as a creative art.

Just a few more days! Be sure to make plans this weekend to come to the Knox County YMCA in Galesburg for the 2026 Quilt Show. If you're shopping the All Illinois Shop Hop, there are several local shops participating so be sure to schedule a stop at the show while you're in the area!

Please use 13th street and make a right on 4th Ave. yes technically you will be turning the wrong way on a one way….however that road is closed at 15th st. We will have this sign in place to help the navigationally challenged….Thank you for your sense of adventure.
