CLEAN 1950's Kamaka Gold Label SAIL HEADSTOCK Tenor Ukulele Professional Uke

Available here: https://www.antiquitone.com/products/clean-1950s-kamaka-gold-label-sail-headstock-tenor-ukulele-professional-uke

This Kamaka Gold Label sail headstock tenor ukulele from the 1950s is in stunning original "closet classic" condition. It must be one of the most well-preserved tenors of the gold label era in existence! It seems this ukulele may have been bought back as a souvenir to Wisconsin (where it was found) and basically never played. It doesn't even seem to have ever had a playability setup until now.

Unlike the soprano, which was often sold to tourists visiting the islands, the tenor ukulele was usually sold to professional luau players. It's a rare find and one of the most sought-after vintage ukuleles made in Hawaii. Very few were made by Kamaka in the 1950s, and they are highly sought after for their ease of playing fingerstyle and other modern ukulele styles combined with vintage tone!

This example featured the iconic early 1950s Kamaka gold label era "sail" style headstock shape and pin style bridge with bone insert. It boasts remarkable projection, sustain, and excellent clarity. In addition, it was meticulously cared for, if it was used at all. It is a must-have for the ukulele player or enthusiast looking for that classic 1950s vintage Kamaka sound.

This beautiful Kamaka tenor ukulele is handcrafted from gorgeous Hawaiian koa wood throughout. It features excellent projection and sustain with nice warm and traditional Kamaka tones. The intonation is set well, and the ease of play is absolutely wonderful on this instrument. It is center-balanced in terms of overall weight, which makes it easy to cradle as well. This piece is a phenomenal player instrument that continues to hold a very strong collectible value.

It is currently set up in standard soprano ukulele C tuning; however, it would easily accept a low-wound G string or other lower-pitched ukulele tunings. Simply put, it is extremely well preserved! It plays in tune well, sounds super sweet, and projects extremely well. It comes with its original case and some vintage strings.

1930s Style 4 Weissenborn Kona Hawaiian Lap Steel Guitar

Available here: https://www.antiquitone.com/products/1930s-style-4-weissenborn-kona-hawaiian-lap-steel-guitar

This circa 1930 Koa wood Weissenborn made Style 4 Kona Hawaiian lap steel guitar is in great shape. We have a love for Konas and this one is special. It plays perfectly in tune, better than other Konas we’ve had.

The guitar is 99% original and even has the original hard shell case to go with it, the first Kona hard case we’ve seen! The guitar is currently set up with a fresh set of strings in a G tuning (GBDGBD but will work well in high and low bass G and A tunings, and C6.

Overall length: 37 1/2 in. (95.2 cm.)
Lower Bout: 13 1/4 in. (33.7 cm.)
Depth: 4 1/4 in. (10.8 cm.)
Scale length: 25 in. (635 mm.).
Nut Width:1 7/8 in. (48 mm.).

It has finish checking throughout and other age-appropriate marks from use. There are some deeper scratches on the back. The top does have a belly behind the bridge, which looks to have been reattached prior to its arrival here. The only non-original part detected is its metal bridge saddle. It has a lovely tone, great sustain, and plays well in tune. Konas are pretty rare. Only one. Grab it!

This stunning 1979 Favino guitar is a prime example of a REAL vintage Django Reinhardt style Gypsy Jazz guitar! It was crafted during the transitional phase of the Favino workshop. Jacques Favino retired around 1978. His son Jean-Pierre carried on making guitars in his father's style. This particular guitar has a Jacques Favino label but was probably made by Jean-Pierre just after his retirement.

This guitar is still from Jacques’ modele #10 era, which gained legendary status among top musicians from the 1960s and 70s. However it deviates in important ways. In the 1980s, Jean-Pierre started experimenting with various design modifications, which eventually led to the creation of his modern modele S.

One of his most important modifications to the design was to move to a 666 mm from the traditional 675 scale length. This eased the playability of his instruments without sacrificing tone and power. This unique example is one of the very first to feature this change! The body also seems just a hair smaller than a typical Modele #10, which makes it feel very comfortable in playing position.

Scale length: 26.22 in. (666 mm.)
Nut Width 1 13/16 in. (46 mm.)
Lower Bout: 16 1/2 in. (41.9 cm.)
Overall length: 39 13/16 1n. (101 cm.)
End Block Depth: 4 1/8 in. (10.48 cm.)
Serial Number: 658

One remarkable aspect of this instrument is its dry clarity and focus on powerful fundamental notes throughout the scale. This is a highly desirable feature of the best guitars of this style.

Like many guitars of this age and style, it has lived a life making music! It has scratches, dings and wear throughout, consistent with normal use, as well as several professionally sealed top cracks. These signs of use in no way impede the tone and sheer power of this fine instrument.

The rarely seen original bridge and some shims are also included. A new precision fit bridge is currently on the instrument, and it’s set up perfectly with ideal action for the style! There is a small wire hole under the bridge from a previous Big Tone pickup installation. A lovely set of vintage SB tuners of the correct vintage cover evidence of a variety of tuner sets being on this guitar throughout its life. A slightly oversized near new archtop style hard shell case is included.

This Gibson EH-150 6-String Model Lap Steel Electric Guitar was handcrafted in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and features a sunburst lacquer finish, maple body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, the original tweed hard shell case, and the legendary Charlie Christian pickup!

This lap steel guitar is stunning, with its lovely flame maple top. These semi-hollow body maple steels all have a very rich, powerful tone with a lot of definition. It's a great-sounding and playing steel, as well as a stylish instrument with a classic Gibson look! This early version has the tone and volume on opposing sides.

This Gibson EH-150 is fitted with Gibson's original "Charlie Christian" blade pickup with large magnets! This allows for a powerful, full bodied sound. Pickups of this era are widely regarded as being among the finest sounding lap steel guitars in Gibson history, in addition to being one of the first successful electric instruments.

The CC pickup was only available on the EH-150's earliest configurations. Not long after this example was made Gibson started gluing the backs on the EH-150 models and moved to a smaller U shaped magnet version of the blade style pickup.

Overall length: 32 in. (81.3 cm.)
Lover Bout: 8 3/4 in. (22.2 cm.)
Depth: 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.)
Scale length: 22 1/2 in. (572 mm.)
Nut Width: 2 in. (51 mm.)
Serial Number / FON: 928-18

This steel shows light signs of use but remains original and is a wonderful sounding instrument. The finish has light dings, dents, and checking consistent with normal use. A previous owner marked increments around the volume dial. Shadows of fret note identification stickers are present on the fingerboard below the top string. Its sunburst lacquer has a deep, rich patina.

Its original case is also in lovely condition and comes with a very rare original case key and envelope!

Rickenbacker Silver Hawaiian Lap Steel Guitar 1.5" Horseshoe Pickup Rickenbacher Lapsteel

This is the earliest version of the Rickenbacker Silver Hawaiian. It sports the highly desirable and very powerful 1.5" large prewar style "Pat. Pend" stamped pickup in a hollow chrome plated steel body with the original "Rickenbacher" headstock logo. This version only has a single pot and black fret markers.

Besides the Bakelite B-6 "Panda" and Frying Pans, Rickenbacker's "Silver Hawaiian" Lap Steels with the prewar 1.5" Horseshoe Pickups are some of the most sought after steel guitars of the era! They were considered intermediate-to-professional instruments in their day. They have a markedly different tone than the other early models.

Overall length: 29 1/2 in (75 cm.)
Lower Bout: (75.6 cm.), 9 1/4in. (23.5 cm.)
Body Depth: 1 3/4 in. (4.4 cm.)
Scale length: 22 1/2 in. (572 mm.)
Nut Width: 2 1/4 in. (57 mm.)
Serial Number: D157

Everything appears original except for the 3D printed vintage correct volume k**b. It's an amazing sounding and gig ready steel. Overall, this Silver Hawaiian is in nice shape with normal signs of use. There is some pitting and scratches to the mirrored chrome finish which has dulled to a degree over time. There is some light residue from some old note marker stickers along the treble side. It has one larger ding on the edge of the top on its bass side. It comes in a cool, hand-lined custom hard case with slots for steels.
