🌟 Teacher Spotlight: Mary Larson 🌟

“I’m dedicated to helping students of all levels reach their musical goals through patient, encouraging, and fun instruction.” 🎶

Mary Larson has been teaching flute at Creative Music Center for over 10 years, inspiring students with her thoughtful and supportive approach to music education. Her students have gone on to perform with the Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestra and Western Regional ensembles, earn college scholarships, and attend top music schools.

Mary earned her Master of Music in Performance from the Manhattan School of Music and has studied with renowned musicians including Julius Baker of the New York Philharmonic. In addition to teaching, she continues to actively perform in chamber groups, orchestras, musical theater productions, and recitals.

We’re so grateful to have Mary sharing her passion and expertise with our students every week! 👏🎵

🌟 Student Spotlight: McKenzie Henry 🌟

“I love the feeling of finding the rhythm in a new piece and seeing all the hard work finally pay off.” ❤️🎶

Since starting piano at just five years old, music has become a huge part of McKenzie’s life. Today, she studies piano and voice, plays clarinet in the band at Christian Heritage, and sings in the school’s Chamber Choir.

Beyond performing, McKenzie has also become a leader and role model for younger students through her work at Trumbull Summer Music Camp.

We’re so proud of her dedication, growth, and love for music — and we can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next! 👏🎵
