Tips on Maintaining Your Dishwasher
The following are useful tips in maintaining your dishwasher:

Remove any item inside the dishwasher: Before you start cleaning the dishwasher, ensure that it is empty. It gives you unrestrained access to the dishwasher and makes maintenance easy.

Regular Cleaning: Free your dishwasher from debris accumulation by cleaning it often. Use your dishwasher from time to time to remove food residues that have settled at the bottom of it. Regular usage lowers the amount of time you need to clean it completely annually.

Check and wash the arms: The work of the arms is to spray water on the plates in the dishwasher. The arms have holes that can also accumulate debris. If the holes have debris in them or the arms do not work properly, the appliance will not satisfactorily clean your plates. Make sure the arms rotate correctly and take out the accumulated residues inside. You can use a broomstick or toothpick to take them out.

Wipe the surrounding areas of the dishwasher: When the dishwasher is not properly maintained over some time, it emits an offensive odor from the external parts. Do not ignore the washer’s edges during cleaning to avoid food particles being stuck there. Dampen a washcloth with water and utensils cleaner, scrub the stained spot and the outer opening of the dishwasher. These are additional areas you must not ignore the soap dispenser, the gasket, and the utensils basket.

Empty and wipe the drain: The drain is located at the end of the washer. It is the most suitable place for collecting food residues and debris. When these residues are left close to the drain, they will create an obstruction. Clogging reduces the efficiency of your dishwasher. Washing dishes will take extra time and effort and might leave your dishes not so clean.

Time to clean your condenser in the refrgirator

07/31/2019

A new fridge can be pricey. Here’s how to keep your machine running efficiently.
The other day — amid record heat — my refrigerator stopped working. Went to look trying to purchase a new refrigerator when we got to the store we looked around and it was very expensive appliance’s and it would not be delivered till 2 weeks so we called a technician and found out that the compressor had conked out and that it was more efficient to repair then getting a new model he replaced failed part , and to buy a new one is a huge inconvenience and an added cost.I had not expected to incur. I took the opportunity to figure out what caused the breakdown, what I could do to prevent it from happening again, and how I could put my appliance to best use.

Jordan, corporate manager of appliance repair company — informed me of my first great mistake: I had never cleaned the dust and dirt from my machine’s condenser coils. Dust and dirt obstruct the air transfer and make your appliance’s motor work less efficiently.

How to Make Your Lg Washer and Dryer Last Longer
The life cycle of an LG washer or dryer is around 10 to 15 years," says Tracy, director of public relations for LG. "And both its day-to-day performance and overall longevity can be impacted by user habits. For instance, we see better performance when users perform simple maintenance steps and avoid overloading their washers or adding too much of the wrong type of detergent."Here are LG's tips:

• Clean your wash drum monthly, or every 30 cycles, using the Iron out. You can add a 3 cups and put it in the drum with no cloth inside to clean the tub.• Remove residue from the detergent dispenser once a month to ensure that the right amount of detergent is dispensed at the right time.• Make a monthly habit of emptying the drain filter—where loose change, buttons, and other items can become trapped and restrict water flow.• Empty the lint filter after every load to ensure proper air flow, and clean your dryer ducts annually to help maximize performance.

How to Remove Odors from the Interior of your Whirlpool Washer
This Washer Maintenance Procedure should be performed, at a minimum, once per month or every 30 wash cycles, whichever occurs sooner, to control the rate at which soils and detergent may otherwise accumulate in your washer.

Have you run a monthly washer maintenance cycle?
Run the Clean Washer cycle every month to maintain washer freshness. This procedure helps keep odors from developing in your washer. The Clean Washer cycle uses higher water volumes in combination with Iron out ® washer cleaner to thoroughly clean the inside of the washer.Unload washer as soon as cycle is complete. Iron out® cleaners are available at many retailers.

This washer has a special cycle that uses higher water volumes in combination with Iron out® Washer Cleaner to clean the inside of the washer.

Read these instructions completely before beginning the routine cleaning processes recommended below.

Place an Iron out® three cups in the bottom of the washer basket.
Do not place athe iron out® in the detergent dispenser.

This cycle will fill to a water level higher than in normal wash cycles to provide rinsing at a level above the water line for normal wash cycle. Always remove all clothing items from washer before running the Clean Washer cycle.
During this cycle, there will be some agitation, tumbling and/or spinning to increase the removal of soils.

Recommendations to Help Keep Your Washer Clean and Performing at its Best
Always use High Efficiency (HE) detergents and follow the HE detergent manufacturer’s instructions regarding the amount of HE detergent to use. Never use more than the recommended amount because that may increase the rate at which detergent and soil residue accumulate inside your washer, which in turn may result in undesirable odor.
Use warm and hot wash water settings sometimes (not exclusively cold water washes), because they do a better job of controlling the rate at which soils and detergent accumulate.
Always leave the washer lid or door open between uses to help dry out the washer and prevent the buildup of odor-causing residue.
