Another boat limit of Sea Bass today. Tossed in the usual by catch of Porgies as well. Did a fair amount of Fluking that produced a lot of short fish but only 2 keepers. Thanks for coming out guys and I’ll see you again next month.

Started off the day loading up on big Bluefish until they had sore arms. Made our way to the Sea Bass grounds and the wind picked up. Had to hide in the Lee for a bit. Plucked a few fish there but it was kinda slow. Wind dropped out and we were able to get back out to where the life was and got our limit of Sea Bass at the end of the trip. Thanks for coming out guys I hope the traffic wasn’t too bad heading home!

Father/son duo Bob and Scott brought along Montauk Legend Captain Friday for a half day Sea Bass trip today. Friday built and owned the Born Free Motel in town as well as a charter boat of the same name back in the late 70’s. What a wild time it was back then!

Kept it calm and close for the kids this afternoon. They reeled in plenty of Bluefish to start things off. Kept a few for dinner. Switched to bottom fishing and had nonstop action with the Scup and Sea Bass. Kept enough of those for a meal and tossed the rest back. Had a bonus Triggerfish and called it a day.

I offered them Bluefish, Porgies and possibly a few Fluke. They said no we want Sea Bass! Well that’s what they got. Pretty savage drop and stick fishing for us our boat limit with ease and headed in a touch early. September is pretty full guys but I do have some slots left! Early October has some holes as well. Reach out to get on the fall schedule!

Absolutely wild action this morning on the light tackle jig scene. Every rod one with something. Bluefish, Scup, Sea Bass or even a Fluke. Kept enough stuff for a few dinners and tossed the rest back. Enjoy your fish tacos tonight! h

Yesterday afternoons group started off with sloppy sea conditions. We called an audible and headed to more sheltered waters which paid off nicely. A boat limit of Sea Bass and a beautiful Jumbo Fluke took the ride home with us.
