We really appreciate everyone's support, from buying our merchandise so we didn't have to move it all, to the awesome testimonials and kind words.

We even can understand and appreciate the criticism of Safe Harbor Walden on their social media posts and Google reviews, but just know that criticism and complaints will most likely fix nothing and your comments have and will be deleted.

I have never built my business by tearing down others and won't. We do all we can to lift folks up. That being said, I'm not telling folks what they can or cannot do by any means. If you feel the need to say anything good, bad, or indifferent...it's a free country. Just know that if it's negative, it will most likely be deleted.

Thank you.

Thank you for choosing us, for stopping in, for bringing your kids, your questions, your stories, and your patience. Thank you to the anglers who showed up even when conditions weren’t perfect, and to the families who made us part of their routine.

This place became more than a shop to us. It became a small community. A place where kids felt comfortable walking in on their own. A place where conversations happened that had nothing to do with bait. A place where we got to look out for people — especially the little ones — and take that responsibility seriously.

Closing this chapter wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one for us. We’re choosing to step back, simplify, and focus our energy closer to home and family. That doesn’t diminish what this place was or what it meant.

We’re deeply grateful for the support, the trust, and the kindness you showed us over the past two years. This shop worked because of you.

Everybody knows where I stand.

Support local. Support local. Support local.

If I don’t have something in stock and another small shop does, I’ll send you there myself. I’m not in the business of holding customers hostage or pretending competition doesn’t exist. There’s enough room for all of us.

The real competition isn’t the mom-and-pop down the road — it’s the billion-dollar big box stores and corporate chains that are slowly squeezing small businesses out of existence.

Small shops are a dying breed. And that’s a shame.

We should be rooting for each other. We should be building each other up. We should be fighting the same fight.

But here’s what I won’t do — I won’t let someone else’s pettiness change my integrity.

We’ll keep doing business the right way.
We’ll keep serving people first.
And we’ll keep supporting local — even if not everyone feels the same.

Integrity over ego. Every time.

It's been fun

PSA! After 10 plus awesome years meeting and befriending lots of outstanding folks we will be moving out of Safe Harbor Walden. It's been a good run and to be honest it feels like leaving home, but new contract proposals are just out of reach for this small business. We already have an alternative...we stepped on a pop top and lost a flip flop but we should be wasting away next week!

WE ARE NOT OUT OF BUSINESS AS FAR AS THE GUIDE SERVICE!
Bradley's Outdoors on the other hand is closing up shop! We will be out by Sunday. So please come by this week and say goodbye and possibly make a good deal on what's in the store. And absolutely tell us what you think.

Love us or hate us, just know it has been an honor to serve you and we tried our very best and we thank you for letting us be a part of your lives.
