Happening in Lowndes County with Extension: We just wrapped up a Nutritin and Gardening class with the beautiful seniors at Good Shepherd Community Center in Mosses! These ladies were a joy. We discussed some of the food safety practices recommended by the experts, discussed container gardening their own food, and had a great fellowship! They are also caught up on our classes for next month! This is a part of Extension mission that I love to do!

Alabama 4-H Foundation Scholarship Spotlight: Today’s senior celebration is for Adam McNutt from St. Clair County. Adam plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in Aerospace Engineering in the fall. Adam has been a member of the St. Clair County Clay Cutters 4-H Club for nine years and has had multiple wins in the state championships and placed at the National 4-H SAFE Shotgun Championship. Adam says, “My years of experience in 4-H have most importantly taught me many valuable lessons including friendship, teamwork, kindness, and much more. I will use these characteristics in my next chapter of life, never forgetting where I came from: The amazing 4-H family.”
