Hi there!
Have we met?

I'm Rachel, farmer/florist here at Graceful Acres (but also full-time wife & momma to our four sweet little girls).

I’ve always loved flowers and growing, but my first real step into the floral industry was over 14 years ago, working at a floral shop in college.
Growing the flowers we arrange with is harder and messier, and definitely more humbling than I expected. But also so rewarding and worth every bit of extra effort (most days 😉)

So you can get to know me a bit better,
I’m…
- a list maker
- always up for real conversation (small talk is fine, but tell me how you're actually doing)
- an early riser (lately it depends a bit on how many times the baby was up the night before though)
-a realistic dreamer (I see the vision and the 20,000 steps it'll take to get there)

You can find me transplanting seedlings, making bouquets, answering emails, talking to the flowers, and praying about the weather.

My favorite part of Graceful Acres?
You.
Handing you your flowers, hosting your event, watching you walk our fields and getting to see it through your eyes... it nearly brings me to tears.

You’re what makes it all worth it.
Thank you for loving our farm and our flowers! You’re the best. 💗

Join us on the farm for a relaxing, creative floral arranging evening.

Each evening starts with a guided tour through our flower fields. A chance to slow down, smell what's blooming, and learn a little bit about locally grown flowers.
Then we'll gather in our beautiful, historic event barn to arrange with stunning, locally grown flowers, with plenty of tips, tricks, and guidance along the way.

🗓️ This July we're offering two evenings here at Graceful Acres:
The Field & Flower Evening on July 12th (UPDATE: this event is full- tickets are no longer available.)
and the
Premium Centerpiece Workshop on July 23rd

(We shared these first with our email community- huge thank you to those joining us!)

Both evenings are relaxed, beginner friendly, and intentionally small so every guest gets the evening they deserve.

Tickets are available now.

Grab a friend or two, or come solo.
Either way we’d love to have you here on the flower farm next month! 💗

These aren’t roses. (Dare I say it?! They might be even better than roses!)
Meet a farm favorite, Lisianthus! 😍 Or “Lizzy” for short!

One of the crops we wait the longest for and work the hardest for.
They take around 150 days from seed to bloom! (I’m not the best at math, but I think that’s nearly half a year.)

They’re notoriously tricky to grow, mainly because they like to stay ridiculously teeny-tiny for way too long.
(See the cute seedlings in my hand in the second picture? They’re 3 months old, and still so small!)

We’re growing FOUR TIMES as many lisianthus this year! 🤯
And we’re doing some fun (but a little costly and time consuming) experimenting to see if we can grow these beauties for longer than a few brief weeks in July.

If you ordered a DIY bucket, have a bloom bar or private workshop scheduled, or plan to attend a July workshop, you’ll see these beauties!

🎉 Talking about on-farm workshops, we’ve received quite a few messages!

July workshop spots will be super limited, and they’ll go live to email subscribers first - this weekend!

Sign up for our email list on our website & come spend a fun, relaxing evening arranging here on our farm! 💗

We planted hundreds of feet of worthless plants.

Did that get your attention? 😉

It’s been awhile since we’ve chatted about a farm update!
There’s a little bit going on around here! 😅

One big addition this year here at Graceful Acres is many more perennials!

These shrubs will provide unique beauty to our farm both in bouquets and for on-farm events (like weddings and workshops!)

But they’ll be completely useless to us this year. As we water and caretake them, they’ll take their time putting down roots and growing slowly.

These baby shrubs are snowberries bred specifically for cut flower use!
And next fall their cute little pink berries will be stunning in arrangements and such a fun addition to on-farm workshops, DIY buckets, weddings!
(As you know, we’re all about the fun texture and unique floral additions here!)

Any guesses what other perennials we added? 🙃

Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🥹
What an incredible peony season!
Whether you drove just down the road, or for over an hour.
Whether you found our farm for the first time, or are a long time supporter.
Thank you!

We know you have choices, and we don’t ever take for granted that you choose to support us here at Graceful Acres.
We truly love being your local flower farmers. 💗

Peony season might be over, but we have such beautiful plans for the rest of this year.
And we’re so excited to share so much beauty with you.

(and honestly, we’re a little excited to be back to tending our other plants that got a bit neglected in the peony craziness of these last few weeks! 🤪)

Thank you again for your support and for loving on our peonies!

(And don’t worry, if you’re expecting peonies for an event/DIY bucket, we still have those reserved for you! 😉)

How many times is it socially acceptable to restart the same load of laundry?
Asking for a friend, of course. 😅

I know we’re not the only ones that feel like May is INSANE.

So crazy busy.

But we’re so thankful to provide a little beauty in the midst of the chaos.

Maybe your house (or someone you gifted flowers to) has a little bit of locally grown beauty in their less than tidy kitchen too.

Thank you for your support. Thank you for choosing flowers that were grown with love and arranged with such care. 💗
We don’t take your support lightly.
You’re the best.

And good luck with the rest of May!
You can do this!

(If you still need locally grown peonies- send us a message! 💗 And keep an eye out. So many fun ways to find our flowers coming up this weekend!)
