Many thanks to those who stopped by during Art Walk on Friday! And even more thanks to our featured artist, Montpelier printmaker 𝗝𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗻 of The Campy Bird who was present to chat with our visitors!

If you missed the event, never fear - you still have a chance to view Jo's work. They’re the second participant in our 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻 & 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 and their work will be exhibited at the gallery throughout October.

They create handmade prints of native Vermont plants and animals with an emphasis on line-work, contrast, and vibrant color. They print using environmentally-friendly water-based inks on 100% cotton paper.

There is just soooo much art going on in Vermont this weekend - and just in time for the stunning show of foliage! 🍁🍁🍁

We're going to focus on Montpelier Art Walk today, because we've got some fabulous art headed to gallery this Friday. Just check out their work!

We’re featuring Montpelier printmaker 𝗝𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗻 of The Campy Bird. They’re the second participant in our Emerging Artisan & Art Walk Program.

Jo creates handmade prints of native Vermont plants and animals with an emphasis on line-work, contrast, and vibrant color. They print using environmentally-friendly water-based inks on 100% cotton paper.

They received their BFA in printmaking from Ohio University before settling in Vermont. In addition to printmaking, Jo has a background in graphic design and mural arts. If you're ever in Morrisville, be sure to check out their gorgeous mural at the Village Center Apartments on Hutchins Street.

The event is a celebration of the visual arts and creative process, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to meet a variety of artists and craftspeople in their studios.

Did you know that Artisans Hand has a new 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺?

Artisans Hand is using its participation in 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 as a way to support artisans early in their careers to expand on their art business skills. Our hope is that this will contribute to a more vibrant and robust network of craftspeople in Vermont.

We encourage our featured artisans to use Art Walk as an avenue for marketing their work and networking with other artists and community members.

In addition to being featured, artisans are offered a small display at the gallery for one month following the event. This is a good opportunity for craftspeople early in their practice to gain feedback, exposure, and experience selling in a gallery.

𝗠𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲 just dropped off a fresh batch of work today and we were so excited to see these new origami ornaments. Miya invented this fold herself - it's a real champ (yeah, we did that)!

We're so excited to introduce our newest neighbors to you - Tree #1 and Tree #2!

We've been waiting for a few weeks for their arrival and let us tell you, they are spectacular.

Tree #1 is a plane tree and it's definitely not a plane. It isn't a maple either, although its leaves are similar in appearance. Tree #2 is an elm, but it's not on Elm Street. It's on Main Street where our gallery is located, silly.

The next time you're downtown, be sure to visit our friends and give them a warm welcome to Montpelier. A hug would likely be appreciated, this being Vermont and all.
