A book club for those of us who can spend hours hyper-fixating on the random, the weird & the wild. Get ready to read about bizarre animals, cults, shipwrecks, cryptids, diseases, strange history, the paranormal and more!

This is not like your mother’s book club. There will be trivia, fun facts, and maybe a field trip or two 😉

Meetings are held at Fred & June's Books in Denver & Mooresville! There’s no RSVP or sign-up required, just come to the meeting as you are, everyone 18+ is welcome! My New Hyperfixation Book Club has all the deets.

Speaking of book clubs! Meet Juan, host of Él Book Club, and one of our favorite humans on the planet!

El book club is a quarterly latino book club, for culture and unity! The first official discussion will take place on Sept. 22nd (Hobbit Day!) at 6:30 and everyone is welcome to attend!

We’ll be discussing Rosália Rodrigo 🇵🇷 Beasts of Carnaval! For fans of The Night Circus, this sweeping historical fantasy set in a lush, Puerto Rico-inspired world, uses magical realism to combine Caribbean carnaval culture and the mythology of the Taíno,the Indigenous people of the region, in a gripping exploration of community, reclamation, and healing in defiance of a violent past.

With vendors like Bound Lincolnton, NC, Fred & June's Books, Milk & Honey Mercantile, and Friends of the Lincoln County Public Library, you're sure to find your next favorite book! Plus, bring your kiddos out for Story Time with the Queen and her Court (Miss Lincoln County Apple Queen)! While you're there, make sure to sign up your little one for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library courtesy of Partnership for Children of Lincoln & Gaston Counties!

Our birthday is coming up and we’ve been planning something big!! This celebration will be taking place in both MOORESVILLE and DENVER! We can’t wait to see you all and celebrate in the best way we know how - by giving back to you!

This community has been truly incredible over the last three years, and we can’t wait to celebrate YOU! The number of friends, who have become more like family along the way, who have supported us since day one and who have found connections through love of stories at F&J’s along the way, is truly so heartwarming.
