Want an easy way to help out our nonprofit that doesn’t require spending a dime?! We’re looking for fun new places to take our fair trade trailer and share about the awesome artisans we partner with.

If you attend a church that hosts any kind of women’s, missions, or vendor events, or know of anything going on in the Iredell/Rowan/Cabarrus area of NC that might fit the bill, please reach out to us. (We’re willing to travel a little further than that depending on the date/event!)

Here’s an idea of what we’re looking for:
• Events with 50+ people in attendance
• A dedicated “shopping” time, whether that’s before or after the event (or an entire event dedicated solely to shopping!)
• An audience with a heart for missions and ministry, or one that just loves unique, handmade pieces with equally unique stories behind them
• A spot to park our 12 ft enclosed trailer (a place to run power to it is also appreciated, but not necessary!)

Around here, we specialize in the unique. And just like you, each item in our shop has a story to tell…many of them come from raw materials like clay or banana leaves or wooden beads and old sari fabric, turned into beautiful things like pottery or paper or jewelry. And isn’t it cool how God does the same thing in our lives…how He takes seemingly ordinary people and uses them to accomplish His very unique purposes?!

He does it for us and He does it for the artisans who handcraft each item in our little shop!

We know we’re not exactly the dad’s first pick when it comes to Father’s Day shopping (we usually send them over to D E Turner & Co Hardware or Guns on Main 🤪), but we do have a few options for the dad who really cares about seeing jobs created and lives changed!

What gal doesn’t love a good hair clip?! I, for one, keep one everywhere—my purse, my car, my bathroom—just in case I happen to need it. These clips, though, are SUPER special! Not only are they pretty and seem to go with every outfit I pair them with, but they’re also handmade in India by skilled artisans.

INK+ALLOY | Handmade Accessories is our newest artisan partner, and their beaded products are inspired by age-old traditions and techniques, creating the prettiest conversation starters. On top of that, they give back to the communities they’re a part of through a nonprofit dedicated to providing education for underserved girls in India.

Sharing another wedding detail, because this one’s too good not to…

Since fair trade means so much to me, I wanted to share that with my people. I’d always thought ’s ornaments would make a fun wedding favor, so naturally that’s what I went with when choosing something special to share with our closest friends and family. I paired these “love bird” ornaments with a special note about where they came from and who made them!

These ornaments were ordered especially for my wedding, BUT there are still a handful of them leftover in the shop!

It’s all in the details ✨

Back in April, I married my best friend! And I did it in the prettiest earrings from !

I’m not sure how many of you remember this, but about a year and a half ago I loaned out my “wedding earrings” to my sister for her special day. You see, I had been saving these Starfish Project earrings for well over a year at that point for MY wedding—even though I was single as a Pringle when I first bought them! Even then, I knew God was writing my story and working the details out in His timing, and I trusted He would one day reward me for my patience. And boy, did He ever, when I eventually met the man I now get to call my husband!

Those wedding earrings turned into OUR wedding earrings (mine and my sister’s, that is!), and somehow looked amazing with both of our dresses (if you scroll back in our feed a bit, you can probably find her photo as well)! Not only are they beautiful, high quality, and well-made, but they’re made with the utmost love and care by a woman who’s been through hell, and is coming out smiling and stronger than ever. They’re made by a survivor of human trafficking who’s been given a second chance at life and is making the very most of it!

While we don’t have this pair in stock at the moment, we do have some gorgeous “formal” jewelry options from Starfish Project that would make the perfect bridal, bridesmaid, MOB, MOG, or wedding guest look!

There are a lot of pros and cons to being a small business owner (though *technically* I’m actually “director” and not “owner,” since we’re a nonprofit!)…but one of my favorite perks might be the ability to gift my best friends some of my favorite fair trade finds when I got married last month!

My bridesmaid gifts looked a little something like this (and with our help, yours can too!):
