These cabinets were originally built to display shoes. The shelves held shoes in boxes while the top slanted portion displayed the actual shoes. We have used them in our retail store to display all sorts of merchandise. They would also make great storage cabinets in a daycare for books and toys. The displays are double-sided and most of them have either pegboard on one end or slatwall. They are on casters for easy moving. We have 9 cabinets and they measure 51” wide, 29.5” deep and 58.5” tall.

We have these at the Village Trading Post in Mooresville Indiana. The store is located in the Kroger shopping center between Chicago’s Pizza and Los Patios Mexican restaurant.

450 S. Indiana Street Mooresville 46158.

Store hours are 11 AM to 7 PM seven days a week.

We also have lots of other displays and display cases available.

We will be closing our store soon and have been using these to display all sorts of merchandise. The units are currently set up with shelves, but I believe we have the materials so that you could also use them for hanging clothes. The displays are double-sided and are on casters for easy moving. We have 10 cabinets and they measure 50”wide, 32”deep and 66”tall.

For those who have not already heard the news, we have updated our plan for closing the store. We negotiated with our landlord and will now not have to vacate until 12/31. We are anticipating that our last day to be open will be Christmas Eve. We are continuing our clearance sale. Most new merchandise is 10% off, while used merchandise either has sale tags or is reduced up to 50%.
While we love having our store, 48 years of retail is enough. We are not retiring. We will still have online sales of Tom's leatherwork. But the store requires more manhours than we have anymore. We look forward to having more family time with our kids and grandkids. This Saturday, 10/30, will be our 50th wedding anniversary. We will "celebrate" by working in the store all day. In other words, maybe next year we will actually celebrate 51 years of marriage. It has been a good life. No complaints. Just looking for a little change. We want to thank everyone again for your wonderful friendship and patronage over all these years.

Facebook reminded me today that, under normal circumstances, Hilltop Leather would be finishing up at the Indiana State Fair. We have been vendors there since the early 90’s. But 2021 has not been normal. As I announced last week, we have decided to close our store and that huge task kept us from participating in the state fair this year. This past week has been a whirlwind. So many customers have come in to make bargain purchases and to express such kind words to us. We will miss you all. But we still have another month or so, so please come and see us. We are having a big clearance sale and are staying open seven days a week now from 11 AM to 7 PM. For anyone who hasn’t been in before, we are located in the Kroger shopping center between Chicago’s Pizza and Los Patios. 450 S Indiana St.

After over 11 years in Mooresville, The Village Trading Post / Hilltop Leather will be closing shop by the end of September. If we were younger, we would not be considering this move, but at our age, it is time. We will continue crafting our leather products and offering them online via Etsy, eBay and Amazon. We wake up every day to internet orders that keep us quite busy. Closing the store will give us more time to enjoy life, especially family, especially our four wonderful grandchildren. Please stop by to say goodbye and, in case you need to contact us in the future, please pick up one of our business cards. We are clearing out inventory at a significant discount - 50% off most used merchandise and 20% off new. The sale has been going well and we continue to restock. We will also be offering our wide variety of store fixtures for sale.
