📣Special announcement for ARTISTS... We have extended another deadline!

Applications for the 🎨2nd Annual Mooresville Fine Arts Festival will be accepted through August 28th!

Are you a fine artist who is looking for the right opportunity to showcase and sell your art during the start of the holiday shopping season? Join this 2-day art festival on November 21 & 22 at the Charles Mack Citizen Center in downtown Mooresville (indoor)!

1-of-2 announcements today for our artists out there... EXTENDED!

🇺🇸“No Day Shall Erase You From the Memory of Time.” - Roman poet, Virgil. These words, forged in steel at the National 9/11 Museum, are what allow us to push forward and always remember. Many artists have made moving pieces that help us to process the events that unfolded that day, and how it shaped our nation for every day after.

We have extended the artist application deadline for the "25 Years Later" walking art exhibit commemorating 9/11 to August 21st at 5pm! We are looking for a wide variety of art. Visit mooresvillearts.org/calls-for-artists the link to apply. 🔗

🌟August Member of the Month: Meet Larisa Kamp! 🎨

After teaching middle school art for more than a decade, Larisa moved to Mooresville in 2016 and has been an active part of the Mooresville Arts community from teaching classes and summer camps, serving on the Education Committee, and joining the Board in 2024.

A lifelong creative, Larisa enjoys exploring a variety of artistic mediums and is also the co-founder of LKN Local, a small business celebrating the Lake Norman community through locally inspired apparel and gifts. When she's not creating, you'll find her spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, or volunteering.

🫶We're grateful for Larisa's passion, creativity, and dedication to the arts! Be sure to say hello next time you see her at the next opening reception and help us congratulate her in the comments! 💙
