Happy Monday!!

Back at it today! I told Kristy on the phone last night that this year I have had three super long days this year. The three days that I didn't come out to the shop and work. All three felt like an eternity to me that never ended. My body and mind only seem to do one thing anymore in life and that one thing is what relaxes me. Bizarro world huh?

I'm flying solo in the shop today so the goal is to get a lot of cutting done. I'm not sure what direction I'm going in to start the week, but I will figure out shortly once I start tracing boards.

We have more beautiful weather this week. It's going to get up into the 80's each day, but we continue to cool down at night which makes everything more pleasant. It's currently 53 degrees outside and feels great!

Hopefully Kristy has some good news today on getting her dad to a different rehab facility. I know it's been a very long weekend for them where they are currently at. Fingers crossed!

Happy Sunday!!

TODAY I REST!!!

The last time I took a day off was March 12, 2026. That was 199 days ago. I remember it because it was the day we put Phoebe down. During that stretch I worked 10+ hours 99% of the days. I worked every single day of Spring and every single day of Summer.

This will be my third day off for 2026. For me it's a pride thing because I know I've done every single thing I can to give Kristy and Kyndall everything they need and want in life. I have gotten super creative this year to give Kristy plenty of days off to actually live life and get away from the shop more than ever before since we started this business. That is my main job in life as a husband and father.

This morning I will be taking Kyndall church and then I have to get her to Charlotte right after for a basketball game. Plus something about I have to stop at Trader Joes for Mac N Cheese Bites on the way home 🤣. So I know there will be no time to really get out here anyway. I'm just going to enjoy the day with her and relax for a change.

Kristy has not had a good trip up north helping her dad so far. She has been up against it between ready to punch a wall or constantly crying. We are really hoping things improve with the situation tomorrow because nothing gets done on the weekends anywhere. Just keep her and her dad in your prayers because they need some!

She was going to come back today but is going to extend her stay for 2-3 more days before coming back home. As usual I told her to take all the time she needs.

Happy Saturday!!

Reminder that this morning from 8a-12p we are having our DIY craft sale under the carport. You won't find cheaper prices out there for wood blanks let alone blanks that come primed, painted, and ready to hang. You get to see what it feels like to be Kristy and have a blank canvas put in front of you with no extra work involved! You get to be the detailer!!!

I also want to make sure folks know that 98% of what is under the carport is DIY projects. We have very few completed door hangers under there for sale. So if you are planning to drive a long distance for a completed door hanger I would advise against doing so. This is mainly projects for yourself, kids, grandkids, or group activities for the upcoming holidays.

While Kyndall works the sale I will be tracing boards and cutting. First I have 20 more mini snow globes and 20 more mini gingerbread houses that I need to complete and get under the carport. After today I guess I'll do it all over again????

Come take care of your holiday crafting needs!! Perfect pieces for paint parties, kids activities, girls night, teachers, church groups, etc…

Prices are as follows:

All fully completed door hangers: $40 each

Small 9-11” kids crafts: $5 each

Large 19-21” door hanger blanks: $15 each or 5 for $60

These come primed, base painted, ready to hang, and padding on the back. All the hard work is done, now the fun part….detail, decorate, create, and have a blast!

Witch hats are 24” tall and only come with a coat of primer since there are so many options with them color wise. Lots of fun to be had with them!

Kyndall will be working the sale and taking money while I work. So no sales will take place before 8am. Thank you!
