a big thank you to Senator Amy Klobuchar and Mayor Shelly Carlson - Moorhead, MN for taking some time to visit MTW this week to chat with some moorhead small business owners!

mayor carlson suggested MTW as a place for us to meet after we received a moorheart award last week in recognition of the $5,000+ we’ve raised for the Great Plains Food Bank via our fundraiser shelves! 📚

and that recognition is for all of YOU. 👏🧡 thank you for donating books to the shelves, donating money by purchasing books, and spreading the word about the fundraiser. the immediate & continued support we’ve received for this is a true testament to the magic of a community in action—to fargo/moorhead in action. and to the tangible power in finding even the smallest ways to be good neighbors.

ICE OUT. we’ll be closed tomorrow (1/30) as we stand with our neighbors during this national strike to send a very clear message: end ICE terror.

we encourage you to join the strike by withholding your labor & buying power however you’re able.

our heart aches for all of our MN neighbors & for every community feeling the unnecessary cruelty & terror unleashed by ICE.

stay safe, document everything, and take care of your neighbors however you can. MN has clearly demonstrated the real power & impact of a community in action—and if there is any glimmer of light in this deepest dark, it is that.
