We love tent weddings! We traveled to Bismarck for this set up. Everything about this wedding was beautiful- the property, the location, the bride + groom, it was all a dream!
It was really fun to get away with Derrick. We left the other set up (in town) completely in the hands of the kids. What a crazy feeling! We are so incredibly grateful to have the ability to do this- I’m so proud of our kids for being reliable and responsible! There’s no better feeling in the world 💕

This past weekend was INTENSE. 😅

We had a tent wedding in Bismarck AND a setup back home at the Armory on the same day. The plan was set: Derrick and I would handle Bismarck (tent wedding = subfloor + dance floor), while Aubree and Freddy took care of the Armory setup.

The Armory wedding had two potential windows for installing the dance floor: during the ceremony-to-reception flip or during the reception-to-dance flip. The first option was definitely preferred because it gave our team plenty of time to get the floor installed and ready to go.

Last minute, we found out that wouldn’t be possible due to safety concerns with the tables and chairs being too close to the edge of the dance floor.

So, the later flip it was!

The only catch? They had 15 MINUTES to install the entire dance floor before the wedding timeline would be thrown off. 😳

Knowing they had zero time to spare, Aubree and Freddy called in reinforcements — Teague and Tiana. All four arrived at the venue 30 minutes early, made a plan, and waited for their window.

Then it was GO TIME.

They went in and absolutely CRUSHED IT. 👏🏻 Their plan worked, the teamwork was incredible, they installed the floor in record time, and it looked STUNNING.

Meanwhile, I was sitting at the bar at the Bismarck Radisson waiting for the call that they were DONE and everything had worked out. 😂 Talk about a nervous wreck. 😰 Poor Derrick. 😅🤣

I had complete confidence in this crew and knew they would do an amazing job, but when you only have 15 minutes, there is absolutely no room for something to go wrong. One unusable tile that needs to be switched out would have cost them minutes they didn’t have.

I sent our brand-new set of blue tiles and methodically checked every single white tile beforehand…but you still never know!

When that call finally came that they were DONE — and had absolutely nailed it — I couldn’t have been more proud. 🥹

So grateful for this amazing team and the way they worked together under the pressure.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

15 minutes. One beautiful dance floor. And a wedding timeline that stayed right on track. 🩵🤍

This custom maple & white checkerboard dance floor redefined the reception area, seamlessly concealing the worn concrete and introducing a refined, high-end focal point that elevated the entire atmosphere and became the center of their night!

It’s not a party without a dance floor!

My daycare kids earned a reward party day for good behavior (I have the best daycare kids in the entire world). We had a foam party from TheBubbleBonanza
Sweet Treats stopped by with their ice cream truck and of course a black + white dance floor! Twirl Dance Floors
