I'm spending a bit of time reviewing out pacific coast irises and picking the ones to "introduce" and register. To do this they have to have survived our abuse, have sufficient numbers to sell, as well as being exceptional such that people will want to buy the. Check out this violet flowering one that we've been growing for a few years.

Shots from the nursery world and things to plant in your native garden. The matilija poppies are still in bloom but now is not planting season for them, wait until Oct, Nov, Dec, even into Feb is fine. The rest is all fair game to plant now in your garden.....
