Here are the Annual Sale deals on touring kayaks.

These kayaks remain the fastest and most efficient way to paddle. With the money you could save buying during the sale period, you can schedule a tour with our guide, Frank. He will show you all the basics of launch and return, give constructive feedback on your form, and host a wonderful guided tour of an area you choose.

We have the Perception Carolina 12' and 14' at $850 and $950 (down from 1149 and 1269)
the Jackson kayak Journey 14' at $1000 (down from 1599)
the Wilderness Systems Tsunami 140 and 145 both at $1300 (down from 1699)
and the Wilderness Systems Tempest 165 at $1500 (down from 2069)

Before she got in that kayak, she was not sure she could handle it on her own.

That is a feeling we hear a lot at Trusty Sail and Paddle. People walk up to a pedal kayak for the first time and their first instinct is to wonder whether it is too much to figure out — too many moving parts, too much to coordinate. Especially for younger paddlers, that hesitation is real.

Here is what actually happened: within a few minutes on the water, she had it dialed in. The Old Town Malibu Pedal drives with your legs, which turns out to be a much more intuitive motion than most people expect. Your hands stay free. You stay stable. And before long, you stop thinking about the mechanics and start paying attention to the water around you.

In this photo, she is out in the middle of the Crystal Coast sound — hands relaxed, feet working the pedals, that beautiful blue-to-teal hull cutting a clean line through calm water. Behind her, the tree line and old waterfront homes look the way this part of the North Carolina coast has looked for generations. It is a quiet, unhurried kind of beautiful.

That transition — from uncertain on shore to completely at ease on the water — is exactly what we are here for. Our rental fleet at Trusty Sail and Paddle in Morehead City includes these pedal kayaks because we believe more people deserve access to that feeling, without needing to own a boat or spend a day taking a course.
