It's time for my Traditional Primitives project for the Wool & Freedom Stitch Along from the Woolie Friends Stitch A Longs FB group! This is Guarding Old Glory. This project will celebrate the nation's 250 year with pride and freedom! It is 16" x 20" which includes the fabric surrounding the flag. The fabric kits include the embellishment pack which is 3 wooden buttons which are a variety of shapes, 6 red buttons and beads. You can make a choice between several kits, with or without a printed pattern, thread kits and extra embellishment packs. Find it all at TraditionalPrimitives.com on the home page! Here’s the newest project in our Wool & Freedom Series! And here is all of the Designers info on her adorable project…..

Here is “Glory Basket”, my contribution to your red, white and blue collection. The wool mat measures approximately 6”x 14”. It is displayed here on a white wood board, (8 1/2” x 16”), which I also have for sell. The board also has a hanger on the top so you can place it on your wall.

But other great ideas are tucked on a small table, framed, or add magnets to the back and place on your refrigerator or other metal object for a perfect pop of summertime color.

Liberty Wreath

Hello Stitchers,

I’m so excited to finally reveal my project for the Wool & Freedom Stitch-Along — Liberty Wreath! I always love adding touches of red, white, and blue to my summer decorating, and this year it feels especially meaningful as our nation prepares to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. ❤️🤍💙

Liberty Wreath is a layered wool-on-wool table mat made with hand dyed wool and finished with sweet floral details, embroidery, and scalloped edges. Measuring a generous 11", it’s a relaxing project that stitches up fairly quickly and looks beautiful displayed on a table, cupboard, or tucked into a summer vignette.

I just want to say “Thank You” to the Friendship Quilters Guild in Athens, AL for inviting me down on Monday to have a little trunk show and teach a class. These ladies were the best!! It is always nice to meet others who love to stitch as much as I do! Thanks SEW much!!

We are in Huntsville, AL teaching at a couple of different venues this week. And today we popped in a little wool Shop called The Wool Haus! And wow! It was amazing! She hand dyes her own wools and she has an amazing collection of patterns and notions for sale too!! And several of them are mine….😉

We are traveling to Huntsville, Alabama for a week of teaching wool applique. And I am using my traveling time in the RV to prop up my feet and put together thread packs of pearl cotton! WonderFil Thread has the most gorgeous colors!!!
