Moving into a brand new house?
Or a “new to you” house with new appliances?
Before you cook that first meal, fill up your water bottle, or run your first load of dishes, there are a few things you should do first.
-Run your new oven empty for about 30 minutes to burn off factory residue.
-Toss the first 2–3 batches of ice from your fridge.
-Flush a few gallons of water through the dispenser.
-Run your dishwasher empty once before using it.
-Register your warranties while you still know where the manuals are.
These small steps can save you from smoky smells, funny-tasting ice, and future headaches.
Moving day is stressful enough. Don’t let your appliances add to the chaos.
