We can't love our hometown hero more. Proud and motivated to do our part to make Morgantown an inclusive and welcoming town.

Sometimes people on Instagram mean to message my stories to a friend but *accidentally* send them to me instead. 😅

Did I have an agenda?
Imagine being an LGBTQ student (or a parent/ guardian of one) in a town that just banned pride flags. Imagine not knowing which spaces will be safe for your child.

So ya, I had an agenda. In a town where LGBTQ+ folk are being discriminated against, in a town where LGBTQ+ folk are told their “identity” is inappropriate for school, at an event where hundreds of kids and families from town would be in attendance - I wanted to be loud. Your identity is something to be celebrated. Hate has no space at any event I’m hosting.

I encourage you to be intentional about the spaces you occupy too.

In other words, have an agenda 👏🏻

welcome, fellow weirdos! you're home here.

“I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it's true I'm here, and I'm just as strange as you.”
Frida Kahlo and Chavela Vargas, 1945.
