❤️ We're shining the spotlight 🌟 this week on our Charity Partner, Sarah's Table . Shop from September 14-20 to assist this valued community feeding program. They will be receiving 10% of our sales (or a minimum of $400) during this time. They provide a free mid-day meal 😋 for the community every Sunday at St. John University Parish at 1481 University Ave.

🍂 Stop by & see us! Our shelves are full of fun finds, seasonal décor🍁 🎃, handcrafted gifts, baby gifts, gourmet foods 😋, Blenko Glass, a Christmas Corner 🎄, Used Books 📚 & more. We're open Tuesday- Saturday 11am-3pm. Housed in a National Historic Site dating back to 1795, our cozy shop is owned and operated by the Service League of Morgantown. We have NO paid employees, and all profits 💰 benefit community non-profit agencies, provide camp scholarships, and support local food pantries. 😍 We are located at 313 Chestnut Street, conveniently next to a parking garage 🚗

Did you know that the Tea Parties 🫖 the Service League hosts at Sundale Rehabilitation & Long Term Care had their inception 25 years ago following the terrorist attack on 9/11?

When Shelley Marshall perished at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 her husband's family honored her memory by hosting intergenerational Tea Parties 🫖 at nursing homes in Virginia and Morgantown. The family received beautiful china teacups ☕️ from all over the world—many donated in memory of police officers and firefighters—which are still lovingly used today.

During these events, residents are treated to delicious 😋 tea sandwiches, scones, sweets, and a variety of teas, 🫖 while high school honor students are often seated with residents and their families. A talented Service League member provides dulcimer music 🎶 in the background. Initially, Service League members helped with setup, serving, and cleanup. Over the years, the Marshall family asked us to also take over hosting the Tea Parties and providing the food.

It is a tradition and legacy we are honored to continue. We love treating our Sundale friends & seeing their smiling faces. 😊 ❤️
