Morris boasts more 30 locally owned, small business retail stores. You’ll find everything from gifts, home décor, children’s clothing, women’s boutiques, shoes, vintage vinyl, greeting cards, jewelry, and two large antique malls. Many other retailers can be found surrounding the downtown district too. If you want a full day of shopping, pick Morris.

✨ HAVE YOU EVER SEEN GALENA DO THIS?! ✨

We have an idea for Downtown Morris… and we’re hoping YOU might help us bring it to life. 🎄(we had a meeting yesterday where we talked about all things Holiday Magic!)

This Christmas season, we would love to create our own version of LIVE CHRISTMAS WINDOWS throughout Downtown Morris….turning our storefront windows into little Christmas scenes brought to life by real people! ❤️

Think Christmas characters, classic holiday scenes, vintage Christmas, elves, carolers and all the Christmas magic. 🎅🏼🎁✨

Our hope is to try it for the first time on Friday evening, December 18 and maybe create a brand-new Downtown Morris Christmas tradition!

But first… we need YOU!

We’re looking for individuals, groups, theater students, families, friends, clubs and organizations who would have fun bringing a Christmas window to life. This would be a volunteer opportunity and could also be a great option for students looking for community service hours!

If you’re interested, you would need to:
• Be available the evening of Friday, December 18
• Provide your own costume/outfit
• Provide any additional props needed for your Christmas scene
• Be willing to be assigned to a participating Downtown Morris storefront

One of the newer additions to downtown Morris, Flora Soul has brought a whole lot of green, color and personality to our downtown! 🪴💚

Flora Soul is an independently owned houseplant shop carrying everything from common favorites to unique and rare plants, plus all the things you need to help them thrive…soil, fertilizer, pottery and plenty of plant care essentials.

And whether you have a house full of plants or you’re still figuring out how to keep your first one alive 😂, Bella is such a great resource! Flora Soul also offers repotting and plant maintenance services, along with interactive workshops and seminars.

We loved getting to stop in, learn a little more about the shop and take in all the fun details that make Flora Soul such a unique addition to our downtown. 🌱

If you haven’t been in yet, add Flora Soul to your next downtown Morris stop….but fair warning, you’ll probably leave with a new plant baby. 😉
