Nina Rangel, originally from Morristown, NJ, currently serves as the Music Teacher at Memorial Elementary School in Washington, where she teaches general music, band, and choir. She received both her BA in Music Therapy and MAT in Music Education from Montclair State University with a concentration in Voice. Prior to joining Memorial Elementary, she taught in Newark Public Schools and in Cartersville, GA.
Nina has also worked as a private vocal instructor, training students who have won local competitions, performed on professional YouTube channels, and toured nationally with Broadway productions. She also served as the Children’s Choir and Youth Band director at St. Virgil’s Church in Morris Plains for over a decade.
As a student, Nina grew up singing in New Jersey’s Regional and All State choirs, later performing at the Sydney Opera House with the Montclair State University Singers. Professionally, she is the leader of song at St. Ann’s in Hampton and has performed at weddings, churches, and with various cover bands for the last 18 years. She is thrilled to be back at The Original Music School where her career as a vocal instructor began and looks forward to sharing the joy of music with her students.
