It's been a while since I appeared at an outdoor fest with a fresh load of all new yarn. Look what I've been up to this summer-- Mazama, Silky Mo, Switchback Sock, and closer looks.

I am enjoying a slower pace of life this summer, staying hometo dye, making a few day trips, enjoying a garden and planting flowers everywhere.

How do you buy my yarn these days? Well, a few posts back there is a pretty easy order form. A new one will be posted for October soon. Or, catch me out and about in local shops for assorted events. Or just email and lemme know what you are thinking.

Same dye recipe. Naturally colored wool.

The left is 2022 Mazama, an 80/20 blend of Cormo and Targhee--- all of the Cormo is dark grey, 80% grey, so the skeins are pretty dark.

The right is this year's Mazama, 52% Targhee, 48% Cormo-- and this time, only about 18% of the batch is a natural grey.

Result? Brighter colors this year!

Getting to know my new batch of yarn. A lighter grey base than the last run, for brighter colors.
