As a young girl, I loved creating things... anything really, but there was something more than just the love for creating things, I LOVED that people LOVED the things that I created. I never lost that drive, it has kept me going through and through. I have done many things in my life including serving in the Army and working for the United States Postal Service and while I loved those jobs, I neve
r could let go of the idea that I needed to be making things, I needed to be making people happy with the things I made. I started my Etsy shop in January of 2016, while I was working as a Supervisor for the United States Postal Service which can be a very demanding job (probably why I loved it so much). By February 2016, I decided to close my shop because I just couldn't handle both jobs at the same time. I went on my way with my life and my normal job, but I still couldn't shake the feeling that I needed to be doing more... I needed to be making things. In September 2016, I reopened my shop. I was working from 5am-2pm (plus quite a bit of extra hours) every day for the Postal Service. I would come home and from 3pm-9pm, I would work on orders. Some nights I wouldn't sleep at all just so I could make sure my orders were shipped out on time. By October, business was BOOMING and I was IN LOVE with the company I was building. By November, I decided that I was ready to leave my career with the Postal Service and grow Two Jays Creative even more, but I knew I needed more time. To make a long story short, after working months and months with not very much sleep, I decided that it really was time for me to commit myself to my company full time. In July 2017, I finally decided I was ready to give it my all. I left my job to do what I love and I haven't looked back yet. Two Jays Creative is built on hard work, excellent customer service, and drive built by our customers and we hope that shows in our service that we provide to each and every customer.
