Mount Airy is open and ready to welcome you. ❤️
Like many communities across our region, we experienced flooding in some areas, and the cleanup continues. We are incredibly thankful for the first responders, public works crews, volunteers, and neighbors who have worked tirelessly to help our community recover.
The good news is that Downtown Mount Airy is open, and our shops, restaurants, lodging properties, museums, and many of the attractions you know and love are welcoming visitors. While a few areas remain temporarily closed as recovery efforts continue, the flooding was localized, and there are still plenty of ways to experience the charm of Mayberry.
If you've been thinking about a visit, now is a wonderful time to support our local businesses and the people who make this community so special. Every meal, overnight stay, and purchase makes a difference.
