Come one, come all to our Fantasy Extravaganza!! We are fundraising for the local Bookwryms chapter of Make-A-Wish! Join us on Saturday, August 29th from 11am to 4pm for an enchanting collection of fun activities, local fantasy authors and opportunities to support the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Costumes are encouraged, but not needed! Come meet and take photos with a mermaid and a fantasy background with a professional photographer. We’ll have tarot readings, crafts, and D&D character creation tables as well! A silent auction will be set up for bidding all day with some lovely products and opportunities contributing solely to fundraising. AND, most importantly, if you donate more than $25, you’ll be knighted 🗡️

It’s the dog days of summer, so we’re taking it easy with a lighter events schedule this month. But you won’t want to miss what we’ve got planned! Reminder: Our next Sci-Fi/Fantasy book club is August 9 at 5pm! We’ll be reading OPERATION BOUNCE HOUSE by Matt Dinniman, bestselling author of Dungeon Crawler Carl. Operation Bounce House is a stand-alone book, so you don’t need to have read any of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series.

When we did inventory last week, we discovered some books that have been here…a long time. Like, maybe since Gutenberg invented the moveable type press. They’re perfectly good books, but they need a little help finding the right home, so we’re giving them a boost. From now through July 31, fill a bag from these shelves for $15! 📚 🛍️ 📚

Indiana Bones has been supervising the reorganization of our back room and seems to be pleased with the progress. (Or else he’s setting up to scare the bejeezus out of our fearless leader when she comes in tomorrow morning. Either way.)

🚨 New class alert 🚨 One of our amazing regular customers has been sharing her hobby with us (maybe youve seen one in-store!) and now she’s ready to share it with y’all!! Our lovely instructor will show us how to fold the book pages and create a masterpiece for our bookshelves. The event is on Friday, July 24th from 6pm to 730pm and a ticket is required. The $30 ticket includes everything you need! A hardback book to fold from our Sidewalk Sale books will be provided as the book will not be readable after. Grab a ticket quickly as these classes go fast! 🌹
