Thie isnt AI or fake. This is me, Amy. Im grieving losses, one very fresh; others less so in human time, but nevertheless profound to me. Cancer is an ugly, horrible beast that must be destroyed! Pancreatic Cancer is particularly nasty, ugly and needs to not come for anyone else ever!
About 14 years ago, I reached out to my former college dean, Kathy, for needed career advice. A few days later, I received an email back from a stanger that she had tragically passed away just over a year prior to Pancreatic Cancer but i could contact Dr. Blablabla about my situation to seek assistance. I immediately lost my appetite for lunch and instead did a deep dive into finding out any details(all the while processing disbelief that we had really gone that long without contact when it felt like yesterday that I sat in her office crying/appealing on her "Appealer Kneeler" for another chance to fix a major mistake i made in my credit recovery process.) I read a beautiful eulogy one U of D professor wrote about Kathy Bush and how her final sentiments from Hospice were regrets that she let her mother down by suffering in pain and by preceding her in death. She was less upset about dying and more worried for her mother. That made me shudder-cry in a bathroom stall for 40 minutes until I was drained and had to fake normal behavior for 3 more hours at my job.
My dear Uncle Johnny went to the ER feeling "off" and next thing I heard was he was diagnosed with late stage Pancreatic Cancer. He went home on Hospice care and barely lasted a couple of weeks. My family has not recovered from this loss. It was seriously catastrophic and forever changed so much, its unreal.
Now a TFF(Tupperware Friend Forever) has passed just over 1 year, 1 month after her diagnosis from the same wicked, evil disease at way too young of age! Its grossly unfair!!!
In their honor and of so many more(my work bestie's dad, Patrick Swayze, Steve Jobs, and countless others)...the loss of all of these souls is profound and unnecessary.)
Im launching this fundraiser for The American Cancer Society. All of my sales commission will be donated to fund their research to hopefully end this disease. Host credits/perks will be raffled to one randomly selected recipient from those who order. Keep checking this post for updates and extra draws in my raffle.
