The Mt. Croghan Flea Market is a bona-fide original! Over 50 years old and nestled in a pecan grove planted in 1921 with a rustic and relaxed atmosphere. Croghan.

We are located on SC Highway #9 between Chesterfield and Pageland, S.C. just west of the town of Mt. You can find everything from furniture and freezers, antiques and collectables to pets, bicycles, chickens and rabbits. Along with a regular supply of tools, bedding, fishing gear, clothes and shoes you will also find plants, produce and tires. And why you’re here, have a good ole-fashioned hot dog, sno-cone, or some boiled peanuts to enjoy while you look around and shop.

Sunday will be the coolest day we have had in weeks. Yes! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Mostly cloudy starting out at 71 wonderful degrees at 6 a.m. and 84 at noon. Stiff breeze 2-6 mph and no rain in the forecast!! 🌞

So, if you have been hunkered down inside with your air conditioner on full blast, then Sunday is going to be the day to be outside and enjoy some fresh air. 🌳

We are looking forward to a very nice day at the flea market. See you all there! 😊

The Fall Season is approaching… really our favorite time of the year! 🍁

The weather is going to be really nice this Sunday. Mostly cloudy all morning to keep things cool. 70° at 6 a.m. and 84°at 1 p.m. with a small breeze. Truly perfect!

We are not sold out yet but looking like there will be a big turn-out! This means that I need to fire up the zero-turn, give the place a hair-cut and crank up the old John Deere to smooth things out before y’all show up. 🚜

Please take note that pecan season is coming up too! 🌳 Anyone interested in getting a crew together to pick’em up a load... please coordinate with us. They start falling early to mid-October.

It’s definitely shaping up to be another great day at the Flea Market. We will see you all there. I’ll be that guy beside that pretty lady in the golf cart! 😊

Finally! A forecast we have been waiting for! Awesome weather forecast coming….

First, heat relief. 70° at 6 a.m. and 84° at noon. (Applause all around).Second, no rain!.Third, 5 mph breeze..Fourth, sunny all day.

Fall is about to show up for us to enjoy! Perfect flea market weather. 😍

Now the bad news (for me). ☹️ Due to the rainfall yesterday, I will now pick up ten thousand 😩 fallen limbs (my back is screaming already). The entire flea market will need mowing today. 🤪 (My zero-turn is finally running again… thanks to Mike Nicholson.)👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 And lastly, the entire flea market has to be bladed to get rid of some deep washes. (Gotta love a John Deere with a box scraper). 🚜

This is akin to running several marathons in one day for one old man. But…Michael Covington is coming down to help me so I don’t have to do it alone (he’s a slightly less-old man). 🤣 So, thanks Michael… you are a great friend. 🤝

Although I don’t need to say it… the flea market will be groomed and ready for action by dark. (not my first time).

One side note to Tammy on Row 6…Miss Tammy, “I spent an hour repairing your favorite table this week.” It’s now a completely reconstructed masterpiece. 🏆 Thanks for bringing it to my attention (says proud table-repair man “me”)!

All that to say this: “Come on out and visit! It will be a great almost-Fall day at the Mount Croghan Flea Market!” We expect a big crowd Sunday, deals galore and great finds everywhere. Just a great day and fun time for everybody! (nuff said) 🌞🦮🌭🌮🕺💃

Well…more of the same. 😐 However, the good news is, Sunday will be the “least” hot day of the week! Only 89 degrees by noon. Chance of scattered showers developing late afternoon… if at all. Partial cloudiness early with winds light and variable.

In other words, if you have been outside this week… it will be much the same for Sunday except just a tad cooler. 😊

More good good news is: Monica’s Italian Ice will be there and the restaurant will have plenty of cold fruit drinks. Ice cold soda and water everywhere. And let’s not forget Ms. Florence’s homemade lemonade and orangeade.🧊🧋🍋🍓🍑

The best thing about the weather is it brings us all some highly-motivated sellers! Deals galore for Sunday! 🤝

Definition of Bewildered: The state of being baffled, confused, mystified, at a loss and uncertain. 🤔

This accurately describes my disposition in following the forecast each week. I think all the forecasters are doing their work from a mental institution high up in the mountains somewhere! 🤣

All that, to say this….After a full week of our local forecast stating clearly it would rain all day this Sunday… today, it changed…..NO RAIN. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I had to let my mind clear up all the brain fog from my bewilderment before posting the forecast. Tough job! Bewilderment, nestled inside an already confused and a tad crazy mind is a really tough task! But voila! I made it. No rain it is. 😎

The forecast is partly cloudy that will cause tolerable temperatures and a nice breeze. Yes!! 74° at 6 a.m. and 85° at noon. There is still a 20% chance of a scattered showers all morning, but this almost never manifests in rain in our area so I am very confident we are safe from any precipitation until mid-afternoon starting around 2 p.m. 👍

So, load up, drive safe and come on down! It is time to informally give the coming “fall” season a big welcome!

We will be expecting a fairly large crowd so come early. We have a lot of casual vendors that usually come on the first of the month Sundays + all our regular vendors. And you know what that means in Mt. Croghan? Deals, steals and great finds will be on full display. 🤝🎉

We really appreciate you helping our vendors out. They are doing their part to clean up America, one barn, two garages and three basements at a time! 😊 You have to admire their dedication to finding all this “stuff” and letting the rest of us buy it for pennies on the dollar. 🤩

So, to them all, we send a big thanks… and an even bigger thanks to all the visitors who come and make their work worthwhile! They do all the heavy lifting and we reap the benefits.

*******Sunday, July 26th, 2026*******

We have been monitoring the weather all week and it has been all over the place. 😏 Early in the week it said it would rain all day every day… well, that didn’t pan out. We did get needed rain this week, but it was scattered showers. Then, suddenly the forecast changed for Sunday! It went from raining all day to only in the afternoon and then to no rain at all. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

As of right now the forecast is fog early, cloudy and the ONLY chance of a scattered shower is at 11 a.m. and that is only a 33% chance… which isn’t very much. (hourly forecast attached).

The temps are great. Starting out at 70 and only going up to 80. If this forecast changes I will post immediately on Facebook to let everyone know. We have a large RSVP list that surely wants to come as long as the rain holds off.

As of right now (Sat morning), the rain is to end later this morning. I will be up there blading down the roads and walkways with my John Deere later this afternoon after the water is soaked in the sand… mowed yesterday. So, the place will be prepped and ready regardless of the weather.

Keep your fingers crossed! 🤞So far, so good. I will post again (for sure) around 5 a.m. Sunday morning with a final update.
