🔥 RARE 1894-O $5 LIBERTY GOLD HALF EAGLE — NGC AU-58 🔥

Here’s a truly special piece of American history: an 1894-O Liberty Head $5 Gold Half Eagle, professionally graded AU-58 by NGC.

Only 16,600 coins were struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1894, making this an exceptionally low-mintage issue. Even more interesting, 1894 was the final year the New Orleans Mint produced $5 Liberty gold half eagles.

Of those 16,600 originally struck, numismatic survival estimates suggest that only around 800 examples may exist today in all grades. That puts this coin in a very small group of surviving pieces over 130 years later.

And the AU-58 grade is a big deal. AU-58 is just one step below Mint State, meaning this coin retains a tremendous amount of its original detail and quality while showing only very light evidence of circulation.
