We’ve been spending less time on FB lately, but this deserved a post. Sky’s art is now up at the corner of Mathis Ferry and Wingo Way in Mt Pleasant. Mount Pleasant Culture, Arts & Pride Commission chose two of Sky’s pieces for their traffic box art program and here’s the first one.

Sky’s way of signaling she wants to do American History for school- she places cereal along the Silk Road or along the journey to the “New World” on her placemat. Thank you Tuttle Twins for making learning fun and breaking complex subjects down to be relatable for a 5yr old.

Sky got a prize check from an art contest today and asked to celebrate with Pelican's SnoBalls Mt Pleasant. She got to meet the owner and he was the nicest guy. Happy girl.

Who doesn’t love ? His relaxing voice, his positivity, his ability to make anyone feel like they can paint. Sky painted this when she was 4, following along with an old Bob Ross video. She still loves painting “happy little birds.”

We’ve been a little quiet lately due to Sky having a cold, but it did give her a chance to read all 400+ pages of Anne of Green Gables! So we are having a family tea party book club today with Sky, Mom, and Dad. And since there was a suggested pound cake recipe in the book, we had to make it.
