Calling this one, "Black Beauty". Long-time shotgunner/handgunner customer now wanting to go down the path of precision long range rifles. Came in with an open mind, asking for lifetime target rig that checks all of the boxes. We put together this rock solid performer! Smooth as butter Lone Peak Fuzion action featuring EDM cut raceways, 75-degree bolt throw, integrated recoil lug and 20 MOA rail. Bartlein Barrels, Inc MTU contour 1-8 twist Stainless Steel barrel, chambered to less than .001" tolerance in 6.5mm Creedmoor and finished at 26" with a hand-cut crown. Widely adjustable KRG Whiskey-3 chassis provides rigid support. Triggertech Special at 1lb. A Cortina Precision tuner brake will tighten up those groups. The view downrange provided by this top-of-the-line Valdada Optics Recon G2 4.8-30X scope featuring SCHOTT German glass (the best in the world) with Japanese mechanicals from Light Optical Works (LOW), same assembly line as Nightforce and other premium brands. A versatile Accu-Tac BR4-G2 bipod supports the front end. Black satin Cerakote completes the theme while providing all-weather duarbility. When toting this build to the firing line, our proverb remains, "Thou Shalt Not Blame Thy Rifle For Thy Misses".

Going to have a hard time letting this one out the door! Customer seeking a top-tier hunting rig and selecting premium components to achieve just that. Terminus Apollo Lite Ti titanium action mated to a Bartlein Barrels, Inc Heavy Palma 7.5 twist stainless barrel. We maintained stiffness while cutting weight with this awesome honeycomb fluting. Nestled into a Foundation Stocks Hybrid Gideon chassis featuring a micarta core surrounded by their Kevlar/Carbon Fiber blend body. This design results in a lightweight but solid/dead platform. Their Kiamichi camo pattern catches the eye just right! Hawkins Precision hunter DBM bottom metal will accept AICS pattern mags. We chambered this one in house (as always) to less than .001" tolerances in 6.5mm Sherman Short Magnum and finished it at 22" with a threaded muzzle and hand-cut crown. A Triggertech Diamond at 13oz. is the go-switch. Black satin Cerakote on the exposed steel brings it all together. The rig tips the scales at a svelt 7.9lbs. We've obtained Cortina Precision and L.E. Wilson dies to work up a load with Berger Bullets 153.5gn Long Range Hybrid pills. This baby is headed to Arkansas well in time for hunting season, can't wait for the photos to start coming back!

A Weatherby REBORN - another one of a kind build. Customer brought in his barely fired Mark V chambered in .257 Weatherby Magnum. Out of the factory the rifle was outfitted with a pencil barrel and a nylon stock. We harvested the pristine action and solid trigger and built a powerhouse. A stout Bartlein Barrels, Inc Heavy Varmint contour barrel in 1-8 twist was selected to provide enough heft to offset the considerable recoil of the chosen 300 PRC cartridge. The bolt body of the Weatherby was modified to provide full travel to feed & eject those long loaded rounds. Barrel was chambered to sub-.001" tolerance, finished at 26", muzzle threaded and crown hand-cut. Not many aftermarket stock/chassis options for this action, we sourced a Long Range Precision one-off aluminum chassis mated to an MDT Sporting Goods SRS-Lite buttstock. This allowed for single-stack detachable box magazines to feed the beast. The barreled action and chassis were then Cerakoted in complementary shades of FDE. Customer wanted top-shelf glass so we mounted up a Valdada Optics Recon G2 MIL scope featuring a massive 40mm tube equipped with world-class SCHOTT German glass and tube/mechanicals manufacured by Low in Japan (same assembly line as Nightforce and others). Out front is a Liberty Suppressors Sovereign all-Titanium can with their proprietary brake and supplied heat shield. The customer will perform his own load development, the rig was tested with Peterson brass, Berger Bullets 205gn Elite hunter projectiles and H1000. Looks like it won't be tough to tune this rig, first few test rounds down the pipe over 2914fps with tight SD/ES. and a .6 MOA group size. This puppy is going to hit like Thor's hammer.

No compromises rig with top tier components. Customer reached out to us from Illinois, looking for a coyote rig to set the standard! Settled on this collection of the best components: Terminus Zeus action featuring a 3-lug design with 60 degree bolt throw, integrated recoil lug & scope rail, and trademark threaded trigger pins. Mated to a PROOF Research Sendero profile 24" carbon barrel, chambered to less than .001" tolerances in 22 Creedmoor. Nestled into a full custom Manners LRH stock with mini-chassis. Go-switch is a Triggertech Diamond at 14oz. No suppressors in Illinois, so we went with a customized Area 419 threaded brake, turned down to match the barrel profile and timed on the lathe for perfect port alignment without shims. Exposed steel treated in black satin Cerakote for all-weather durability and great looks. This one has been shipped off to the new proud owner, 'yotes beware, there's a new thunderstick in the field!

Another tack driver is born! Customer looking to harvest his Lone Peak Fuzion out of another rig and re-imagine it as a dedicated NRL Hunter setup. We sourced the PROOF Research 24" Sendero 8-twist carbon barrel and chambered it in house in 6.5 Creedmoor to less than .001" tolerance, then threaded the muzzle and hand-cut the crown. Barreled action and bottom metal then Cerakoted OD Green to match the same color in the stock. Nestled into a brand new MDT CRBN fully adjustable stock with integrated full-length ARCA rail. Jewel trigger set to 14oz. Rig is topped with an AWESOME Valdada Optics Mini G2 MIL scope featuring unrivaled SCHOTT German glass and Light Optical Works (LOW) Japanese mechanicals, (same production line as Nightforce and others). Area 419 Match rings lock it down tight! The end is tipped with a Thunderbeast Ultra-7 titanium suppressor and Cole-Tac heat shield. Target pic is rounds 2, 3, and 4 of factory Hornady Precision Match 147 grain ELD-M pills. Customer wasted no time and brought the rig to our NRL Hunter Games match last Sunday at White Oak Creek Shooting Range , shot lights out and took home the banner in the teams category (rig in action with the attached photo...)

Ready to ROCK some NRL! This dedicated rig is the pinnacle of Open Division for NRL Hunter. Pure Precision SKLTN-Ti Titanium action with a PROOF Research Sendero profile 7.5-Twist 24" Carbon Fiber barrel, nestled into a Manners Composite Stocks MCS-TCS-MAX competition stock with integrated minichassis and full-length ARCA rail. Triggertech Special go-switch dialed to 14oz. Topped with UNREAL Valdada Optics 4.5-28X Mini G2 scope featuring crystal-clear German SCHOTT glass held in place with a pair of MDT Elite 34mm rings. We chambered the rifle in 25 Creedmoor for an ideal balance of ballistics vs. recoil, launching 135gn Berger Bullets Long Range Hybrid Target pills at 2866fps with tight ES/SD. That speed gives us a power factor near 387K, easily meeting the NRL Hunter minimum. We tipped the barrel with a Cortina Precision muzzle brake, looks like setting '1' or '2' will work fine! Even with the stout MDT triple pull bipod she makes weight with some to spare! Recoil is VERY manageable to spot those downrange shots for accurate corrections. Going to work this baby hard this season!

"Nice pair ya' got there!" Customer brought us an old pawn shop Rem 700 chambered in 270 Win and asked about making it into a 7mm-08. We said sure, but that's a long action receiver so we could encounter some feeding issues. He changed the plan, asked to rebuild the old donor into an upgraded 270 Win and just go ahead and build up a cousin 7mm-08 rig from scratch! Both are sporting GRAYBOE Phoenix 2 stocks with full-length ARCA rails, PROOF Research carbon barrels, Triggertech Diamonds and Leupold scopes. We stripped the Re*****on, degreased/ultrasound bathed all receiver and bolt parts, trued the action, modified the factory bolt k**b by threading the handle and installing a Badger Ordnance spiral flute model, and added a 20MOA pic rail. The 7mm-08 is based on a Pure Precision Summit short action. All machining performed in house to less than .001" tolerances. Both barreled actions were then Cerakoted black satin for all-weather durability and great looks. Finished load development on the 7mm-08 (tan stock) today, it's loving Alpha brass and Berger 168gn Classic Hunters printing super tight groups with outstanding ES/SD. (Please DO NOT use the pictured load in your rifle right off, start with a charge several grains lower and work up gradually!) Waiting on components to work up a load for the 270 as well. Customer is not waiting...the 7mm-08 is headed out on the hunt this weekend!

NOW he's ready... Customer brought in a lightly used Bergara B-14 chambered in 7mm PRC that he bought with plans to use it on his first ever elk hunt out West, said he wanted to be ready to shoot 500+ yards if necessary and needed a scope. We mounted up a sweet Nightforce Optics NX-8 4-32X model in a set of rock-solid Area 419 Match rings. This customer uses factory ammunition, and the problem was the rifle wouldn't group any better than 4" at 100yds with premium stuff. No problem...we rebarreled the rig with a new PROOF Research 24" sendero profile 1-8.4 Twist carbon barrel (machined in house to less than .001" tolerance), removed some material from the barrel channel to free-float back to the recoil lug, tipped the muzzle with a far superior Area 419 Hellfire brake, and slipped on a Beartooth Products comb-raising kit (perfect for these non-adjustable stocks) to give him a good cheek weld. Finished the upgrade with a slick Spartan Javelin Pro Hunt Tac bipod. First rounds down the pipe with Federal Premium cartridges launching Hornady 175 ELD-X pills grouping sub 1/2-MOA with good SD/ES. Watch out Mr. Bull, here we come!

Packable and Potent! Customer came asking for us to build an ultralight 7mm Sherman Short Magnum for big game as well as NRL Hunter matches. This puppy checks all the boxes. Lone Peak Fuzion Ti Titanium action with PROOF Research 24" Sendero profile Carbon Fiber 1-8 Twist barrel. All machining performed in-house to less than .001" tolerances. Settled into an MDT Sporting Goods HNT26 Folding Carbon Fiber Chassis. Triggertech Special set to 1lb. Awesome Nightforce Optics ATACR 5-25X scope supported by Spuhr AB Rings. No such thing as factory ammo for a Sherman...we handled load development with our Area 419 Zero Gen 2 press using Rich Sherman's ADG Brass, LE Wilson micrometer seating die, Berger Bullets 180gn Hybrids and Hodgdon Powder H1000. The Cortina Precision Tuner brake fine tuned our groups down to sub 1/2MOA with tight SD/ES. We're getting 2870fps yielding a power factor over 516K...blows the NRL Hunter minimum of 380K out of the water. The rig with magazine inserted weighs in at just over 9.5lbs! Ready for action on the firing line and in the field...
