Starting the other side and the fin

Added some black to this side because I'm impatient..... Also wanted to see if I was going in the correct direction 🤔

After all this I will go back and tone it all down and blend it in with a nice thin coat of off white. Then time for highlights and punch up some details.

I will say this is one of the more difficult pieces I've painted. Not because of the technique but because it's all one piece and there is a lot that I cannot reach with an airbrush and to get any detail on I have to hold the end of a paint brush just to get in there 🤦. But I'll make due!

Here is where I currently am in the process. The main layer definitely takes the longest. I did add some black to the side I'm currently painting to make sure I like the direction it's going. Still a long way to go!

What I am doing with this warrior is trying to mix the movie paint job of highlights and smooth transitions with a Giger style level of detail.
