do-de-what? dodeline comes from the french, “dodeliner,” which means “to sway.” It made me think of dandelions swaying in the wind, or the seagrass on the dunes on a Lowcountry beach, and above all else, I liked the idea of flexibility, because that’s how I try to work with my clients.

The seating chart is such a great opportunity for personalized and interesting displays.

This bride and groom were neighbors growing up, so they had this super fun idea to do a map centerpiece and “find your neighbor” as the heading. After designing everything, we layed out all the pieces individually and their wedding planner found the perfect shade of green mat board for everything to go on.

Laying it all out so it looks right takes a lot of trial and measuring, but it’s worth it in the end! And it’s a pain, but I definitely think it’s worth it to use foam dots or something that elevates the paper a bit above the background. It gives it a little more dimension and it makes a huge difference.

Fortunately, I worked in a frame shop for a year or two after college, so I’m well versed in assembling frames. The planner sourced this cool gold frame too and it turned out so well! Team effort for the win 🙂

We have been doing so many really cool and out of the box things with table numbers lately. Since they are usually a smaller quantity, you can really do some fun stuff without breaking the bank. Throwing back to these that we did a couple years ago with a seagrass background inside a frame. Can’t wait to show you more of what we’ve been up to for this fall’s wedding season!

Nashville - you were a blast! From a square dancing lesson at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, an epic show seeing Rhett Akins, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan & others at the Grand Ole Opry (the kids’ first concert!), a one-of-a-kind dinner at Le Petit Chef, the kids’ first NFL game, and more, we had a GREAT time!

My Taylor Swift loving girl had to see some of the highlights of course, including breakfast at what is rumored to be her favorite breakfast spot, The Pancake Pantry.

And my little guy picked up some cowboy boots that he has worn every day since 🤠

We drove out to Cheekwood as well and it was BREATHTAKING. The gardens are something out of a dream. I can see why they have a booming wedding business!

And finally, the Hatch Studio tour will absolutely get its own post. I was in heaven.

For Fall break this year we just wanted something new that was pretty easy to get to and Nashville ended up being an awesome choice. A little over an hour direct flight was easy on everyone and made it so we could really enjoy the school break!
