Thank you to everyone who joined us downtown for a weekend of fun, community, and celebration. We're especially grateful to For Arts Sake, Post110AmericanLegion, and the Isabella County Historical Society for making it all possible.

The America 250 Celebration is almost here!

Join us August 21-23 for a weekend of live entertainment, the Rubber Duck Derby, Movies by Moonlight featuring Hamilton, a flag ceremony, kids' activities, the Market for the Arts, and more in downtown Mt. Pleasant.

Check the event map for activity locations and road closures before heading downtown.

Streets will be closed 9 a.m. Friday, August 21 through 5 p.m. Sunday, August 23:
- Broadway Street between Washington Street and Lansing Street
- Main Street between Jockey Alley and Michigan Street
- Franklin Street at the Broadway Street intersection

Closures are marked by the orange and white barricades on the map. Plan ahead and allow extra time when traveling downtown this weekend.

Downtown Concert Street Closure

Broadway St. from Main St. to Court St. and University Ave. from Broadway St. to Cats Meow Alley will be closed from Thursday, August 13, at 12 p.m. until Friday morning for the Max & Emily’s Summer Concert Series.

Vehicles parked within the closure area should be moved by 12 p.m. on August 13. Vehicles remaining in the closure area may be towed to accommodate the street closure.

Broadway Street between University Ave. and Main Street will be closed Saturday, August 1, from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Sleepy Dog Books Foundation 5K Run.

If your vehicle is parked on Broadway Street within the closure area, please move it by 3 a.m. on August 1, to avoid being towed.

Downtown Weekend Closures

A few temporary road and parking lot closures will be in effect this weekend to accommodate community events in downtown Mt. Pleasant.

Town Center parking lot closed from July 17 at 5 p.m. through July 18 at 5 p.m.

Broadway Street from University Avenue to Washington Street July 18 from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Broadway Street from Main Street to Washington Street and July 18 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Main Street from Jockey Alley to Broadway Street on July 18 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Please plan ahead and use alternate routes when traveling through the downtown area. Thank you for your patience as we support these community events!
