❤️ Day 31 — A Mom’s Update on Chandler ❤️

31 days… and somehow it feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago all at once.

As a mom, there are no words to truly explain what this journey has been like. The fear, the tears, the uncertainty, and then the moments of hope when Chandler reaches another milestone. We celebrate every little bit of progress because we know just how hard he has worked to get here. 🙏

We are so incredibly thankful for everyone who has continued to pray for Chandler, check on him, send messages, share his story, and support our family. Your love and prayers have carried us through some of the hardest days of our lives.There is still a lot of healing, therapy, patience, and strength ahead.

So, I’m asking you all to please keep praying for my son. Pray for his body to continue healing, for strength when the days are difficult, and for hope and determination as he faces everything ahead. 🙏

We are overflowing with gratitude for the love, support, and prayers that have enveloped Chandler and us during this journey of healing. As we mark day 10 of our hospital vigil, we are thrilled to share that Chandler’s progress is nothing short of remarkable - his voice is back, and his body is responding with movement. Though the road ahead is long, and he still faces challenges such as not being able to eat and remaining bedridden, each step forward fills our hearts with hope and joy. The upcoming steps in his recovery journey include a surgery to implant a feeding tube, which will provide him with the necessary nutrients for healing, followed by inpatient rehabilitation to aid in his brain recovery. We are also looking forward to the day when he can have his skull reattached, a procedure that will take place once the swelling has reduced and his brain has had time to heal.
