Time for First Monday Trade Days in Canton Texas! This weekend Friday-Sunday…we will be there Thursday, too, in Trade Center IV. New soap on the table: Lilac, Hyacinth, Honey Almond, Almond Cherry!

This is gonna be great!

Here's the big surprise! The Wee Williams are starting their own little business by setting up each Saturday at the Downtown Conway Farmers' and Crafts Market as The Farmy Farm Stand!

They were inspired to make their own business after dabbling in making and selling bookmarks last season, so they are now embarking on running a whole booth 🥲

Evelyn picked out all the elements, colors, and font you see in their logo — she is very creative! (I persuaded her to remove all the extra babies and penguins...this logo was perfect on its own 🐧👶😂)

James is the super talkative salesperson whom many of you have already met, and he has pulled A LOT of weeds to keep the strawberries, blackberries, and cherry tomato plants happy 💪

They have been busy caring for chickens, helping with the garden, watering, and making various crafts. Not everything will be available at once, but here's the list of things they are working on:

👉 Fresh farm eggs
👉 Purple cherry tomatoes
👉 Blackberries
👉 Strawberries (if any make it past their snackiness 😝)
👉 Bookmarks
👉 Mini candles
👉 A few soap bar scents

We have a few other projects in the works that may be added soon. These kids are bubbling over with ideas 🙃

We came home from Folk Fest in Mountain View and literally drove through a cloud of swarming honeybees over our driveway. By the time we parked and grabbed a hive body, they had settled onto the grape arbor about 30 feet away from the hive they came from. Talk about fortune! Our honeybees are very important to our farm and to my soap business. They are some of the hardest working employees I have!

Well, that’s a wrap for another Folk Fest. I didn’t get to post yesterday because it was pretty busy and the wifi signal was weak. But, the day started cloudy, rainy, and cold. We had to rearrange the entire booth to protect the soap and give customers some shelter while they shopped. Folks, we had over 1700 bars at that show…literally moved a “mountain of soap” that day! It that’s the chance you take when you are a vendor at an outside show. Still worth it! Loved every minute!

Folk Fest starts tomorrow in Mountain View, Arkansas! Cadron Creek Soapworks is here with 1800 bars of handmade soap! If it rains as predicted on Saturday, just look for the soap suds….

We are set up on the corner of Main Street and Peabody Ave…right in front of the courthouse. We have the first booth on the row.
