THANK YOU to everyone who helped with the move this weekend!!! I never imagined we would be this far in the set up of the new sewing studio!! I am beyond thrilled and so excited to welcome everyone into the new space. I am sure you will all love it as much as Obi does!! We still have a ways to go but are ready for customers at 113 1st St Mt Vernon start this Tuesday at 10am. The Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday September 12th 10am - 2pm.

WOW!!!! What a morning! We had the most amazing group of guys from the Antioch Church help us move this morning!!!! They had everything loaded AND moved to the new spot in under 1.5 hours!!! It was so amazing to watch and I feel so blessed to have had the help!!! Thank you Whitney Bennett Turner for setting this up!! I owe you a sewing machine😘😉. I will share a pic of this amazing group in the comments. Words can not describe how thankful we are!!!!🥰🥰🥰💪👏🫶🙏🤝

We are still a work in progress but things are slowly coming together in the new space! All of us love the new color wall when you first enter the shop. I am very excited about a notions order headed this way from Moda Fabrics United Notions. New fabric has been arriving weekly and hopefully with all the extra space we will be able to add some new floral fabrics! Preparations are underway for the big Grand Opening at the new location on September 12th. As of Tuesday August 25th we will be open at the new location 113 1st St NE. The sewing studio will definitely need a lot of work but if you need anything, that's where we will be.

Week number 2 Mike has been adding to the kitchen area and got the TV set up in my longarm area. We tested the tv and it Star Wars played perfectly! Whitney has been helping with furniture building and we are so good at it we may start a side business😂. Mike put the shelves together for the color wall. Mae and I have started bringing over fabric one carload a day. I am excited about all the space we have to increase the selection of widebacks. Mike got the notions wall up. It will be so great to have all of the notions together! I spent last night going through Moda's 153 pages of notions to see what we could add. Mae has already broken out the rotary cutter and cutting mat to start cutting new fabric that has been arriving. We are looking forward to everything being set up soon!

✨️ Sneak Peak! Preview number 1
August 1st got the key to the new space and have been busy ever since. I love the new space and I think you will too!! Mike spent the first week building the front counter and kitchen area aka Obi's kennel😂. I have become very efficient at putting furniture together and have only needed 3 band aids! I wish I could share the image in my head of how it will look all set up but you will all see it soon. Mike has built the additional tables needed to reach 20 worktables. Obi has already claimed one of the blue chairs and wants everyone to know that the 2400 sq ft is his play area first and sewing studio second.😂 🐕️ Playing fetch when you enter is a requirement.

🧵 This class is for sewists familiar with operating a sewing machine and able to sew a consistent 1/4" seam allowance.
🧵 $65 for class fee, pattern, & grid interfacing.
🧵 $55 Sewcial Club Member fee.
🧵 Machines are available for rent for and additional $10.
