This month’s Paws on Parade celebration is packed with fun, including a dog costume parade, live music, food trucks, balloon animals, a photo booth, and plenty of family-friendly activities. 🐶🎶🎈📸🍽️

While you’re enjoying the festivities, be sure to stop by Kudos! We’re dog-friendly…so bring your fur baby along as you browse handcrafted artwork, jewelry, pottery, woodwork, home décor, and one-of-a-kind gifts created by talented local artists.

Kudos, An Artist Co-op, is proud to be one of the sponsors of Art at the Park. Please mark your calendars for this exciting event.

Art at the Park is an exhibition/competition of area artists representing many mediums, 2D, and 3D art, and artists of all ages and experience levels. It is presented by the Kokosing Valley Arts Alliance in partnership with Knox County Convention and Visitors Center, Kudos, Coleman Family Gallery, Pine Row Studio, and Kenyon Annex - Gund Gallery. The work of several Kudos Artists along with that of many other talented area artists will be represented.

The opening reception July 10, 4-6pm, is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Entertainment will be provided by the Fat Tuesday Trio and local food trucks will also be on-site for visitors to enjoy while they browse the artwork. Reception location is CA&C Visitor Center, 501 South Main St., Mount Vernon, OH

A highlight of the evening is the Community Choice Award voting. Starting at the reception on July 10th and running through August, community members can cast their votes for their favorite art pieces. This public voting window allows everyone to play a role in honoring the local artists who capture the spirit of the region. The overall juried winners, along with the final Community Choice selection, will be officially announced on stage at the annual Mount Vernon Music & Arts Festival.

Kudos is thankful for the support of our community. Come join us to celebrate the work of our talented area artists. Remember, Art Is Good For the Soul!

Ben Stafford & Sara Keith

The Schnormeier Gallery presents two solo exhibitions that approach image-making through markedly different materials and methods. Ben Stafford explores analogue collage that are constructed from appropriated and printed imagery. Sarah Keith makes classical works that are rooted in drawing and painting traditions. Despite these differences, both artists demonstrate a strong attention to composition, texture, and the physical qualities of the image. The result is a dialogue between fragmentation and continuity, reproduction and touch.
