Lionel’s Fastrack switches with command control allow you to use the switch from the black switch box or command control from a LIONEL CAB REMOTE (Cab1, Cab1L, Cab2, Cab3 app). 

Watch as Brian demonstrates the Fastrack switch, including how to identify it among other Fastrack switches and how to program/ assign an ID number with a Cab1L remote using the “SW” and “SET” buttons. This programming process works for all Lionel CAB remotes from Cab1, Cab1L, and Cab2 remotes, and the Cab3 app. 

The switch also has the small removable grooves camouflaged within the roadbed if want have the switch box wire come out on one side. (see attached photos)

The Fastrack switch in the video is an older Fastrack switch with command control preinstalled. The new upcoming 2026 Fastrack switches by Lionel are manual; however, they can be upgraded for command control with the Fastrack Turnout Power/Control add-on kit SKU: 2625100.

Need big-scale freight cars? 

These 60’ boxcars carried various loads on racks and were common on real trains from 1960 to the early 2000s. 

Measuring about 16 1/2” with a 031 Minimum Curve radius, this makes it friendly to most layouts. 
They come with either opening single doors or opening double doors, and a high or low hand brake, and running boards  road name specific detailing. 

For a size and height comparison, here it is next to the NYC PACEMAKER J3A HUDSON LionChief Plus 2.0 locomotive #1946  (Item 2532030) from 2024 vol2.
