Good Morning friends!
Just a quick reminder that I will be at WIT campus today in the main building in room A454, right by the Inclusivity center from 11-2 offering FREE learn to knit or crochet.

You can still register for WIT Lifelong Learning until the first day of class.

crochet is 10-11:30 for six Mondays
knitting is 12:30-2 for six Mondays

In the knitting class we are making either Good Bear or Good Bunny. 🐻 🐰 💖
In the crochet class you can make a Oak and Marlow Bunny 🐰 or a Oak and Marlow Fox 🦊 , and there is a third option for a tulip flower in the crochet class.
The class starts on 9/14 and meets once weekly for 90 minutes each Monday through 10/19.
You can still register for these classes up to the start date!

We also offer a FREE learn to Knit or Crochet on 9/10 from 11-2 in room A454 at the WIT main campus building. This is a great way to see if you feel confident in your skills for the project specific classes!

We have 21 butterflies 🦋 to hang at our booth today Alley Art Festival! We will be in the Hive Kid Zone with our FREE bracelet weaving craft.
Come and do fiber arts with us while possibly adding to our public art piece. 🤭🤩🧶🫶🏻
The Untwisted Fibre will be set up at the festival from 11-5.

We will miss all of our friends at Sioux City Farmers Market tomorrow! The market is open 8-1 in the West Tyson parking lot

AND after you are done at the market you can come and see is at Alley Art Festival 11-5! We will be set up in the kid zone with our FREE friendship bracelet loom activity!

Admission to Alley Art is just $5, and there is ART, live music, and lots of groovy vendors , and food and drinks!

From 11am - 11pm on Saturday, September 5, the alleys of downtown Sioux City will be rocking with fun for the whole family!

Here's what's happening:

BRAND NEW MURALS - The alley is home to 140+ murals with 27 NEW MURALS joining the collection this year!

Murals are created by talented local and regional artists selected through an application process. Their work has transformed an unconventional alleyway into one of Sioux City's most unique public spaces.

Vote for your favorite mural to help decide who receives this year's People's Choice Award!

ART VENDORS - Shop a wide variety of original art from 40 talented regional artists and makers along 5th Street and add a one-of-a-kind piece to your collection!

FAMILY ACTIVITIES
The fun keeps going! Enjoy a variety of FREE creative activities throughout the day including:

Buskers will be popping up throughout the day as you wander the festival.

FOOD & DRINKS
Come hungry! Four local food trucks will be serving up delicious meals and snacks all day long from Diamond Thai, Robles Taqueria, Mama Moon Raye’s Eats & Treats, and La Palapa.

Grab an ice cold beer, wine, water, and soda from the bar in the alley behind Vangarde Arts.!
