Here's another great example that just occurred to me, of why I don't use AI for the business.
A customer reached out with a question overnight:
He has a set of Evah Pirazzi Slap strings that he is taking off one bass and putting on another. He read online that for the set that includes the gut D and G, the D string is actually thicker than the synthetic-core wound A string, which some people find unusual.
His question was asking if that only applied to the gut-topped set, and not the synthetic set (which is what he has.)
As a human, I can read between the lines. Sounded to me like he was asking this to ensure that he put the right strings onto the bass in the right positions. So I answered the question he asked - yes, the individual strings in the "full synthetic string set" are sized typically, small to large.
But to further remove any anxiety about his re-stringing, I added:
Also, if you’re restringing and want to ensure that they go in the right positions, the pegbox silks are colored like this:
G Brown
D Red
A Black
E Green
AI does give a fairly comprehensive answer (I tested it with Google AI - and coincidentally, it partially used info from the Gollihur Music page to support its answer) - but AI wouldn't have inferred that subtext from his question, and included that extra, highly useful information. (BTW, the customer did reply that he appreciated that extra clarification).
