It's quite a lovely treat to be able to enjoy my truffles as others might enjoy them

Most often, the only times I ever eat my truffles while I'm making them (lil chef snacks!) or if I'm sharing them with someone at a market or event

In other words, still on the clock, more or less! 🤣🤣

But to intentionally take a box with me while I'm out on the road, eat one as I'm driving with the windows down and groovy music playing and the sun shining, and to feel a bit of surprise at the luxurious creamy texture and to sink into the familiar floral aromas that come with the Lavender Menace truffle and delight in the lingering aftertaste...

I feel as though I just succeeded at making myself feel very special!

I truly hope everyone who has ever been a customer of mine or has ever received a gift of my chocolate from someone has the same experience that I just had

If that is even remotely close to what folks experience, then I am even prouder of my craft and what I've been able to accomplish as a chocolate maker + chocolatier

Just showin' off a PROUD moment in all meanings of the word!

My homie and little brother Gabe SoSeryus made this dynamite piece and sent it to me 😍😍😍!

You may have even seen it at my tables at markets and events!

Last year, I wrote this about him and this brick art piece and I felt like it all resonated again so much this year that I wanted to share it again:

Seryus is one of my favorite humans and we are in tight solidarity with one another. I've asked for him to help keep me inspired and to remind me to create and he does both of these things so well even while I still haven't *felt* like I've created anything lately

But then...

I think about how I've been putting words down recently

I think about all the chocolate I play with and make

I think about the garden (that has thoroughly enjoyed the recent rains but does probably want me to get outside today and attend to!)

So I give myself grace knowing that I'm still doing the things and building up to creating other things!

I have a few projects in mind and they will come with a little more time. They won't with shame and shoulds...

I'm grateful my brother coaches and encourages and shares with me his talents so that I can find my creative voice again 🧡

Remember:

The first Pride was a riot!
It was a full-throated scream for freedom!
All our freedom is bound with each other's liberation!
All you fascists bound to lose!

I love all the q***r things in Muncie!!!

Laat night, ***ralliance held a reception for the Matters of Pride art show at and it was a lovely time to meet and hear from all the artists!

MQA will also be hosting a Friday Film Series all month long on films that are with LGBTQ+ themes

We're always doing something gay AF here in Magic City!!

We've also got Indiana's old gay bar, and I guess technically I'm Indiana's oldest q***r chocolatier... 👀👀
